End of the printed fanzine.

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

End of the printed fanzine.

Post by olgitgooner »

I have a copy of the Gooner fanzine signed by Charlie George and Sammy Nelson. It's a treasured possession. I happened to be having an after match drink at the Grove and went outside for a fag. Bumped into those two legends.
Alas the much loved paper fanzine is no more.
Three questions....
1. Is the fanzine still available as an online item?
2. Is the Gooner to Gooner forum going to continue under the control of Mike? Or as an independent entity? Or will it die a death?
3. If the forum is going to be continued as an independent thingy....can we use the C word? :)

I have all issues going all the way back to the beginnning - issue 1, in 1986 ? 1987 ?

I did stop subscribing a year or so back, part of my general apathy to arsenal reaching its peak (or next level I guess )

Maybe we should all follow Sir C.unts,I mean Sir Chips advice,as given at the AGM, and read The Telegragh to find out what's going on at the Club. :banghead:

Dear Jesus I didn’t know they’d stopped printing the gooner!
Was always my must buy when I went to games and always told mates going to games to get me a copy rather than the match programme!
I once got a mention on it for a post I’d made on the forum, was well chuffed whilst reading through it on the flight home.
Truly gutted to hear it is no more!
