There is no doubt that there is a lack of good available forwards around this summer .Vardy is fast and direct works hard and is a real pain for any back four as pace really worries most defenses no matter how they set up.His work rate alone will open up spaces for others imo.

I think he is well worth signing if it means we move away from the static sideways football we have witnessed. It doesn't suit either Sanchez or if signed Vardy. That is more the question to me rather than his age etc because with all the money floating around the PL £20m is not a huge risk especially not for a club like us with 200m plus in the bank before the extra money kicks in!

Vardy is a gamble but for once its one worth taking by any manager Quick and strong he will be a welcome change from the french pussy we have at present Seems it will be sorted today and could prove a turning point in our fortunes as long as wenker plays to his strengths but we still need a cb or even 2 as the current choices are all shite

Nut Flush that sums up the media's anti-foreigner sentiment when it comes to diving though.

Pires was castigated his whole career for that dive. Vardy did it on an almost weekly basis last year and gets infinitely less stick. Rooney and Gerrard both more than happy to take a dive. Bale is a tremendous player but a cheating bastard - yet gets far less stick than Ronaldo did even though he frankly wasn't really any worse.

Come on mate, if you left a feather in the path of Pires he would fall over - he did it all the time. It wasn't just one dive, but that dive stands out because of it's significance.

I am not justifying Vardy diving, especially the way he did versus us last season but like it or not thats part of football these days. Back in the day we used to play honest in this country, but certainly since Michael Owen admitted he would go down for a pen it is much more common that other English/British players do the same. The real issue is would Vardy improve us up front, the answer is an emphatic yes. I am not happy to go another summer like last year when we ballsed up nearly every possible transfer. If Vardy wants to play for us, sign him up today.

Fucking hell :cussing: in an attacking Arsenal side Vardy will be as much use as a chocolate fire gard , leicester spent last season playing as a defending unit and then sprung the trap and vardy was of like a grayhound running into half a football pitch it worked Arsenal do not play that way and buy the way nore do England.

Also nice to see our 'classy' fans giving Vardy's missus crap on twitter really shows us in a good light to a potential signing, when will these people learn that twitter etc is seen by everyone including other players and it doesn't look good :banghead:

On the Vardy signing if it happens Wenger surely has to offload someone from our multitude of forward players as we are really bloated now, please let it be Theo :rubchin:
Bang On The Money Mate!

They wenker & the board have NEVER known such descent - So :high5: to all the Banner Bearers! - It may not have resulted in Wenker fuckking off (Yet!) but it HAS made a Difference. :barscarf:

Most his goals last year were either running off the shoulder or finishes in the box

Vary story if true is a strange one......yes we all know he is lively with an eye for goal, direct running create panic and often leads to penalties
He is a game little fucker no doubt about that....

BUT is he right for Arsenals slow build up possession play, my guess is at the Emirates when teams come to sit back and close down space his affect will be nullified, he is nothing special technically, and as i say strange choice, then again we got a strong manager.....we will see

Just as Eduardo was by the celticscum - Why?

Because the players were seen as being 'Johnny Foreigners' a dispicable jingoistic term used by media and many fans alike to describe non-brit players and that's why there was and always will be a difference between cheating filth like rooney diving - like his did when he fell like a whores knickers when our Unbeaten run was ended by Red Nose, Shrek and the Other Manscum Cheating. cun.ts - and non-british players doing it....

Vardy does it - he plays for Ingerland so it's accepted and Not Criticised. Double Jingoism Standards by media and Fans alike.

It isn't Vardy he is trying to sign but Lee Chapman the Postman from Leicester...

Well he's already got one postman in the squad so why not another!??

So we'll have Lee Chapman the postman and Le Chapman the lamppost. That does sound about right for us

I wonder if the signing of vardy is a conscious decision to buy English/british :rubchin: Most of the players that are linked with departing (wally, gibbs, ox and chambers) are English so we would have to ensure that we meet the "homegrown" quota for next seasons competitions are met and buying English/british might become a necessity.

Somewhere sid's head is exploding at the thought of buying more English dud players

A lot has been said about his potential signing - both Positive and negative on here and in other quarters...But, watching him in action and scoring he is like an un-stoppable force - If Ozil is still with us and can provide the amazing assists we all know he is capable of - Then next season could be very High Scoring for THE Arsenal.

Didn't realise he is 2 footed as well - That goal against Liverpool - had any Arsenal player scored that we would be calling for him to be Knighted. - Amazing goals.

ps: And if he does join he HAS to become our Penalty Taker.
