Perhaps because the owner employs Zippy when he should have been told to go several years ago?, in fact he might as well hire Bungle as AM and George as head coach as well.hartygooner wrote:This needs to go in here. The no money line is a myth. I don't know why the focus is slowly shifting towards the owner again on here when the biggest issue affecting the performance, or lack of, on the pitch is the prick with the zip.

#wengerout #nonewcontract.
Hate the bloke.
This assumption is predicated on replacing him with someone better or different, neither of which is a given unfortunately, as I said earlier Kroenke is in the habit of employing a specific type for his sports franchises.hartygooner wrote:The man at he top ain't going anywhere. Everyone needs to focus on Wenger first then the owner.

Actually a lot of people recognise the challenges ahead when the dinosaur is gone. Every major club that has parted ways with a long serving manager has undergone a turbulent transition and we are not going to be any different. We might fail and we will do it in a different way. The new manager's remit is simple really - Try your best and don't get fucking humiliated. It can't be too much to ask for, the bar is already low as it is. This club is by far the most challenging sporting establishment wiggy has ever taken on and he wouldn't want to get it wrong when his human shield is gone because his investment would come under threat. No club is too big to fail.GoonerMuzz wrote:This assumption is predicated on replacing him with someone better or different, neither of which is a given unfortunately, as I said earlier Kroenke is in the habit of employing a specific type for his sports franchises.hartygooner wrote:The man at he top ain't going anywhere. We will see once Wenger is gone what he is replaced with, until then i will reserve judgement but personally feel quite a few are being short sighted if they automatically presume things will improve post Wenger.
I reckon we'll have at least a season or two of 'Wengerlite' management before things come to a head and real change is forced.

True, BUT when seen all in a single reading it really does hit home - Especially when you see many names that we never even got to hear of.General wrote:Huh it doesn't really tell us anything we don't already know.OneBardGooner wrote:Just saw this on Twitter...WARNING Do NOT Read If You Are Close To Heart Failure etc

Yes mate. Ive always said it'll take the new manager ages/years to rid the club of the apathetic, disgraceful acceptance of failure. That top 4 is success. To end the comfort-zone culture that infests the place. All of Wengers failed practices have to be flushed away. That takes time.General wrote:Actually a lot of people recognise the challenges ahead when the dinosaur is gone. Much, much better.armchair wrote:
And I still fail to see how two cups in 12yrs is gonna be so difficult to equal or better? A club of Arsenals resources and wealth?
We could have changed manager 3 times in that period and done just a well or even better fs.

If only that were true.....
Couldn't agree more Armchair - Anyone with the slightest grasp on reality would understand that once wenger is gone is when the battle to reclaim, rebuild the the way things felt and were at Arsenal truly begins. It will take quite some time and some victories & trophies under a new manager to even begin to heal the wounds between the fans, and even that is not assured.armchair wrote:Yes mate. Strange to see supposed WOBs using the exact same argument that AKBs use to keep Wenger in place - that a better or equal replacement will be difficult to find therefore we must be "careful what we wish for"
My slogan was always "Time For Change". Thats a change of manager but also a change of direction, outlook. A change of mentality from a losing to a winning mentality.
Ive not suggested that...
"automatically presume things will improve post Wenger."
Things should definitely "change" on the pitch with regards to tactics, subs, in'game management, attitude, motivation. Hopefully coaching, fitness, medical will change gradually too.
We're realistic enough to know that it could get worse before it gets better.
