True.
In my youth I went on a couple of wild goose chases following rumours of Pistols gigs, but never saw them.
Level 42 was a 'present' from some of my mates. I still shudder at the memory.

I threw Belinda in as the red herring, saw her at the Hammersmith when I was 18 or so, and very much in love with herHerd wrote:I daw gerry n the pacemakers with freddy n the dreamers dave berry and others aged about 5 in bournemouth.

Could have thrown in Olly Murs, 1D, Jessie J, as I have seen them all with my kids.

My odd one out was Joy Division, just missed them but saw one of the first New Order gigs.StuartL wrote:Rugby Gooner wrote:The Who

I'll plump for Genesis as odd one out.
I like the early Genesis stuff, but can't stand the 80's/90's shit.
Have also seen tripe like very early Simply Red and King gigs,(at university),and good ones like The Beat, when they played at a CND rally we organised in 1981.A week later they were on TOTPs with Rankin' Roger sporting an Anti-Nuclear badge from us.
A mate and I also had tickets for the Thin Lizzy "Live and Dangerous" tour at Coventry Theatre, only to get there to find out that the gig had been cancelled at the last minute due to Phil Lynott having Laryngitis. ,as the hastily scrawled note on the front doors explained
