Ronaldo was a pretty cocky kid when he went to United, more interested in doing 15 step overs every time he got the ball rather than scoring and creating chances. Ferguscum soon sorted that out and is one of the main reasons he is the player he is today. Wenger's laissez faire attitude means our youngsters don't get the kick up the backside they need at the right times. But as a player you also have to have the desire for consistent improvement yourself and that's where he let himself down.
I don't think you can deny though that it's a recurring theme that we have had a lot of talented youngsters break into the first team squad over the last decade and not go on to fulfill their potential and I think you have to lay that at the managers and coaching staffs door for not managing the discipline/development side well enough. I don't think anyone since Fabregas has broken through and gone on to a level anywhere near world class.
"Arsenal’s strength in the past 20 years has been Wenger. It is not all about results, but also business part of the club that matters."
Earning a living in the Game and thinks "It is not all about results". Quality.
"Results" my dear fucktard ARE ALL IT IS ABOUT!!

Apparently we have turned down 16m for Chambers from Palace. Realistically I can't see us getting much more than that so if we are not going to use him we should let him go.
BBC is also saying that Wilshere would be interested in a move to west ham if a fee can be agreed.
Sadly, I think wages will be the problem with these moves...

Can't see it myself, he would get no more game time there than here, unless of course it is about money (agent briefing press ?), not really bothered anymore about any of our players because apart from Sanchez they are all pretty much replaceable, whether or not Wanger replaces them is another story.

I would hate to see Ox leave, think I might be in the minority here, but I think he has something to offer. If he were to leave and be replaced by a world class player then by all means sell him..But as you say this is Wenger's world so he won't even be replaced..sk-gtfo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2017 11:03 pmCan't see it myself, he would get no more game time there than here, unless of course it is about money (agent briefing press ?), not really bothered anymore about any of our players because apart from Sanchez they are all pretty much replaceable, whether or not Wanger replaces them is another story.

How is a professional athlete smoking a fag in the showers after a game taking things out of context? I am sure that sort of thing is prohibited at Arsenal.Redarmy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:19 amOk ...not referring to individual incidents taking them out of context, and not here to defend his actions, as everyone knows was out of line agreed, but had talent and think he could have made it...wastenut flush gooner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 5:58 amMismanaged? Was it Wenger that stuffed a fag in his mouth after that Southampton game. You can have a pop at Wenger for a lot of things, but Chesney after showing much promise got way too arrogant at a young age. His attitude in general was suspect and it was for that reason he was shipped out on loan when we signed Cech. Sadly for someone who had a lot of talent and natural ability he made a lot of basic mistakes, again not sure Wenger can be blamed for that.Redarmy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2017 4:53 pmNice post from Chesney, another one mis-managed by that deluded incompetent fuckwit Mr30 years....
I remember being a young boy in Poland, watching David Seaman, Thierry Henry, Dennis Berkamp and others play for Arsenal. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get a chance to play for the club I supported as a little kid. When I was approached by Arsenal in 2005 my world changed forever. I began my journey as a 16 year old boy at the Arsenal's academy, trying to one day become a first team player, going out for evening runs in East Barnet with Jack Wilshere. Little did we know then, that couple years later we'd beat Barcelona in the Champions League and wear the no.1 and no.10 shirts. It has been over 11 years since I became an Arsenal player and I never thought the day I leave this club would come. Everything that I am and everything that I have, I owe to Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, Liam Brady, David Court, Bob Arber, Steve Bould, Neil Banfield, Mike Salmon, Tony Roberts, Gerry Peyton, Pat Rice and many others. Words can't describe my gratitude to these people and love for this club. Today I move on, ready for the new challenge in my life, taking with me only the good memories and bag of expierience. I leave hopeful that those days of Berkamp,Henry, Seaman and others are soon to return to Emirates Stadium and Arsenal get back to winning the Premier League. I may not be an Arsenal player no more but I will carry the Arsenal name with me wherever I go and I will do so with great pride. Once a Gunner, always a Gunner! ❤
There's a lot of spin in football these days. If Chesney genuinely feels this way about Arsenal then more fool him for not knuckling down, when he had a long career ahead of him at our club with no competition.
Jack Wilshere showed the same petulance on more than one occasion and got what he deserved tbh. It's such a shame that these talented footballers who have the dream of playing for a big PL club always take things for granted, I agree with you 100% on that.

Looks like PSG are now favourites to sign Sanchez. It's inevitable he will leave and we should milk this, not accepting less than £60-£80m. Then go out and get Lemar for £50m, plus a defender or a CM. I will drive Elneny to Leicester, anyone who is in the comfort zone of bench warming for a good wage should not be welcome at Arsenal.
Time to move on, Sanchez is quality but just like many modern day footballers his attitude towards Arsenal sucks. Keeping Ozil is key for Lacazette to be successful.

There is a lot of comfort zone players warming the bench and filling their bank accounts at the Arsenal
Time to ship some of this deadwood out, but of course no one else will pay the same after Wenger "socialist" wage structure

id hate to see the Ox leave also,he is starting to show signs that he could blossom into the player that Walnutt was supposed to become, pointless move for him as he will be on the bench unless of course he wants just to win trophies without hardly kicking a ballBradywasking wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2017 6:22 amI would hate to see Ox leave, think I might be in the minority here, but I think he has something to offer. Just as fucking predicted isn't it? Shit for Brains get his one main target signing done early doors (lets hope it works out as well as Xhaka and Cech did eh?) and then as all the other teams buy the real top talent like Morata, we fuck arse around haggling for a no mark like Lemar - a man more average than Joe L'Average himself.
Nice to see Arsene's changed this year

Sky sources: Arsenal have rejected a £10m bid from West Brom for left-back Kieran Gibbs. It is thought Arsenal are looking for closer to £12m for the player.
Wtf - I know we usually get s**t money for our sales but Gibbs is totally surplus now and eating up £50-60K a week, WBA will probably walk away now and we'll be stuck with him!, maybe not but why risk it?, just f*cking get things moving ffs it nearly August.

Sky sources: PSG will make a £35m offer for Alexis Sanchez next week. Sanchez has 12 months left on his Arsenal contract.
Arsenal's position remains that Sanchez is not for sale. Sanchez's representatives are asking PSG for a contract worth £500,000 a week.
lol £35M, they know we're in a pickle thanks to not tying him down to a new deal ages ago, they know we will be worried about him walking away to Etihad FC in 12 months.
I hope P$G get Sanchez and Neymar just to show what a total clusterfuck FFP has been, no doubt their "commercial partners" will just make their sponsorship deal £350M a year instead of £250M just so they can stay within the rules.
Manchester City have agreed a fee worth more than £51m to sign Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy - how much have they spend this summer now? £200M?.
Football is wrecked thanks to money but as they say if you can't beat them...
