Problem with the Telegraph is it wants you to pay, there is a longer article in the Express if you can ignore the rabid commentors at the bottom, although some of them are quite funny:

Fill your boots, i'm slightly confused why an English literature course with English authors is racist, surely as with most Degrees there is option to refine your degree in 2nd/3rd year to more specific areas of interest as long as they fall within the underlying criteria.
I'm fairly sure you don't teach Maths by starting with Algebra before students have even learned basic Arithmatic
Lola Olufemi, Cambridge University’s Student Union’s women’s officer and the voice behind the move, penned a letter to professors with over 100 student signatures.
The letter, titled “Decolonising the English Faculty” read: “For too long, teaching English at Cambridge has encouraged a ‘traditional’ and ‘canonical’ approach that elevates white male authors at the expense of all others.
“What we can no longer ignore, however, is the fact that the curriculum, taken as a whole, risks perpetuating institutional racism.”
A couple of glaring points she misses is that many many (maybe the vast majority?) of the best authors in the English language are... wait for it... white males.... and to call it "racism" is really demonstrating her own ignorance and lack of understanding of what racism is. Are students who specialise in African literature also racist?
Can't believe she managed to find 100 other bellends. Though it is students...
