Chelsea home thread.. (to stop the whining :-))
Re: Chelsea home thread.. (to stop the whining :-))
how many chances did Morata have....a decent striker would have put them out of sight
saying that it was a spirited fight back, but Wengers CL place seems to be under pressure

Because he hardly ever puts in a performance like that. When it comes to penalties, he hasn't saved a single one since signing. He's past it.GranadaJoe wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2018 9:45 pmpostmanPat91 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2018 9:11 pmAs expected, the geriatric Chav plank falls the wrong way like a sack of shit, utterly hopeless
What is your problem with Cech?
'The geriatric Chav plank' was fucking brilliant tonight. 'sack of shit', 'utterly hopeless'?? Those comments are more descriptive of your posts rather than Cech's performance.
Was Courtois a 'sack of shit' for being beaten at his near post?

We're firmly in the banter era now. You would not be one bit surprised to see us involved in a 10 all draw.
Sky might be wanking themselves off over the excitement of these games but it's fucking embarrassing as far as I'm concerned.
We're just a novelty act not to be taken seriously.

If you don't care about results, you probably aren't too unhappy about the entertainment at home this season. Arguably, the best three matches in the premiership have been Arsenal v United, Liverpool and Chelsea. The performance against an off-key Spurs team was good too.
Unfortunately we leak goals and the away form is dire against even the weakest teams.
Plus points: Maitland-Niles (though Chamberlain and Iwobi were equally promising - Wenger has plenty of time to ruin him). Jack Wilshere - playing well. Ozi, surprisingly good in these big home games.
Minus points - that dreadful central defence, with or without Koscielny. Chambers of Horrors was especially bad. Xhaka provides no protection for them. The lack of effective options on the bench.....Walcott and Welbeck!!

Lucky Arsenal - again !!
Re: Chelsea home thread.. (to stop the whining :-))
Did everything possible to snatch defeat from jaws of a draw.As previously said the defending/organisation after coming back to 2 all is joke stuff. Just saw highlights now, firstly just a long ball, and thenseems like 6 Chelsea players to 4 Arsenal in final 3rd after coming back to 2 all. Amazing shambolic defending and attitude at that stage of a game.
Re: Chelsea home thread.. (to stop the whining :-))
Better than the Liverpool game in that the keepers made some good saves and weren't punching the ball into their own nets this time .... but although it was a good game to watch, I don't want an Arsenal side to take part in entertaining neutrals like we are some traveling circus. That's 6 points dropped at home to Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea. The same as 2 defeats.
On our own ground especially we should be winning games we create this amount of chances in but we don't because we cannot defend.
Also heard our fans taunting Chelsea with ''there's only one team in London'' after we equalised Ooooh yeah ... take that Chavs ... we've done the double over you now after tonight's 2-2 win and the 0-0 victory at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season

For large swathes of the games against Chelsea and United at Home we’ve played some of the best football I’ve seen us play for years. Pressing fast and high, forcing errors, incisive passing and moving the ball at the speed of light. Defended like complete twats in both games but the two aren’t linked - we defend like complete twats most of the time and the 5 goals we conceded weren’t because we were throwing everybody forward recklessly.
What puzzles me is why we don’t seem to play like that against far worse teams? Yes we wouldn’t get it right every game, we lack a real quality goalscorer and our defence is a fucking disgrace so we wouldn’t be title contenders, but we would surely fairly regularly put 4+ goals on sides like City, Liverpool and when they’re on form Spurs do if we did?

Just watched a vid of Grey, Keys, Rush on Bein sport. They all think penalty on Maitland Niles, as does as Halsey. Whoopie!!

So after tonights performance i've come to the conclusion apart from needing a much better set of strikers, a good holding midfielder, new CBs and probably a new right back, not to mention the new manager, and most probably replacing Sanchez, Ozil and maybe Wilshere we're actually not too bad
Good God Wenger's replacement, when he eventually comes (May 2025 (DB10)), has a fucking lot of work to do
