Wages....
Wages....
Interesting stats on the BBC. Last year, Arsenal had a wage bill of £233m, that's just £28m less than Financially doped Man City with all of their superstars!! Fuck me, it really shows how we overpay our pile of shit!!

Re: Wages....
According to some it is because our wage bill "includes all footballing staff" where as most other PL clubs only include player wages, quite how that works I don't know as the costs will have to be somewhere in their accounts, in other words City's real wage bill is probably a good £20-30M higher once you factor in other staff, probably more given how much Pep is on and the size of their coaching staff and whatever.
This all seems even more odd given that now the PL have a wage inflation cap that all clubs have to adhere to, surely we should just do what other PL clubs do?!?.
The again just had a thought - this means we can keep our wage bill lower "because they are the rules" and Stan gets more profit...

Its the socialist wage policy. He believes in keeping pay parity as close as possible. Its not as bad as it used to be, but at its peak, Almunia was on 60k a week with Fabregas and RVP on 80k a week.

Re: Wages....
I was looking for a Wilshere thread but wages will do. Right I'm with the club on this one. We have seen players sign big money deals and then be injured for most of their contract. I like Jack and think he is making a decent comeback but i can't help thinking he is due another injury soon.
He is being offered a set wage plus many add ons which bumps up his money if he plays.
Us fans would be the first to complain if he took up a 150,000 a week wage and got injured for another season.
Any club taking on Jack is taking a big gamble because you can be throwing away a big wage for months and months.
