Iwobi with a typical cowards effort of "I'll just hit the target" rather than picking a corner and risking missing the target but being braver.

Let's replace Iwobi with Eddie and see what happens.

Lets hope we win it in 90 seeing as we've just taken our striker off.

Iwobi off is good but even though Lacazette has been shit, he's our best penalty taker and should've remained on.

Well how about that? I'm surprised we made it to the final :barscarf:

TOF put out a decent strength side for once. Shocking! He must be realizing the VT is done

Pedro scored an offside goal, then Hazard scores on six minutes from another through ball that played us for absolute mugs. Five minutes later, Monreal's header was double-deflected in for a surprisingly quick comeback. A ball over the top to Lacazette was snuffed out by the Chelsea defence; it's a shame we don't play those more often.

After Chelsea's early strength, the game evened out a bit as we came into the game more. Lots of nothing play in the middle third. We typically hardly challenged their keeper, until Ozil's shot was deflected wide before half time. Dull.

More tedious shite early in the second half. Another ball was played over the top from us, but was ruled offside. Then it happened again a few minutes later. A deflected cross from Iwobi was almost deflected in for another own goal. Then Lacazette held off a defender to cross in for Xhaka to score our second. Where did that come from? The Cashburton crowd were tempting fate by singing about Wembley soon after. It's never over until the fat ref blows.

Iwobi had a great chance to finish the game with 15 minutes left and bottled it. Who'd have thought that forward passes and runs are much more effective than sideways passes around the centre circle. I was hoping we could settle this in 90 minutes. We made two ridiculously late double substitutions as standard, taking off our only attacking threat. We held on for the win.

I'll surprised if we can beat Citeh in the final. It'll be a bonus if we can win the cup. It's been 25 years since our last League Cup win, which is shocking for a club of our history.

See you for the Östersund games. Here's hoping that TOF takes the Europa League knockout rounds more seriously than he did the group stage. No more pubber sides please. Winning that competition is his only hope to get back in the Be All and End All; and he's never won a European competition in 34 years of management. It would be nice to not have a tenth trophy-less season in thirteen years.

We coughed up so much possession in those last ten minutes it was criminal. Really poor in game management.

Still fuck em we're through :barscarf:
