I was at that game
Long way to go to lose in 15 seconds
Really weird sitting above an empty leppings lane end less than a year after the tragedy
Always thought Hillsborough was an amazing ground but only ever sat there
I was there when Sunderland beat us in 73 and I have since heard that it was pretty hairy in our end that day?

It's sad to see SB5 being wasted as a defensive specialist, let alone take so much reflected ire from the supporters.

The Old Fraud wanted Pat Rice to stay forever and only promoted Bould as an afterthought. Bould only heard about the promotion after the fact. Rice wanted to retire a year before and Bould didn't want the job.

Sure, Bould takes his £30K a week to deal with the cones and listen to TOF's endless complaining on matchdays, but bear in mind he did try to coach the defence early in the 2012-13 season (the 'Steve Bould effect') before TOF evidently shut him down and we resumed our park-level attempt at defending with zonal marking. There were a few stories of disagreements in that season culminating in Bould almost losing his job in the summer of 2013. With his kids in a private school, it's no wonder he just sits and takes the easy money now. He can never win an argument with that power-crazed dictator he has to sit next to.

I just wish that TOF gets long stadium bans in the hope that Bould could actually have a go at setting up, managing and directing the team himself on matchdays, without all the pre-arranged shit that TOF lays down, even during touchline bans. Christ, the chances of TOF leaving the job seem so remote, I actually think the number two managing in his absence is more likely that a new number one coming in.

Agree with this.

I've seen bouldy and pat rice both try and have some input from the sidelines by barking orders and Wenger tells them to sit down, in fact I remember a game when pat jumped up to have a go and Wenger grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

He's a dictator and it's his way or fuck off.

I agree, and it makes me sad to see posters having a go, at and often taking the piss out of, Bould, who only ever gave 100% for us on the field, when they don't know the exact situation between Bould and AW.

Sorry mate but I disagree...I think it is Plain for everyone and Anyone to see.

It's wenger's way of the highway....and so Bouldy (sadly) goes along with that. Mind you if I was offered £30k a week to not contradict or argue with someone, I'd take it in a flash. :?

Where does bould go when le french c.unt retires/dies/move upstairs ? If he thinks that he will be next in line for the managers gig, then he is way past deluded, so what then ? He is a coach that is forever going to be tarnished by being associated with a shitfest defence that is getting worse by the day (hard to believe that is possible I know  ). He could and should have walked away from that job, either by going back to the reserves or by going to another club - as it stands he is staying for the £££, and to me he is selling himself and his his ideas short IF he believes that he has good ideas and can make a difference. If that is how the land lies, then he is no better than a hooker lying on her back to keep the money rolling in, except in this case it is a senile old french c.unt that is screwing him

The facts are simple - the defence is getting worse, and the nature of some of the goals we've conceded this season show that there is no defensive preparation whatsoever. I will forever remember Salah's goal in the 4-0 debacle at Anfield where he ran 80 yards unchallenged from our corner to tap it in. I haven't seen a goal like that scored at any level of football from local under 8s to Prem League and nor do I expect to see it again unless we're involved. I can remember being taught at around the age of 9 that you always left 2 back to mark 1 from corners, but I didn't see much evidence of that when Ballerina Bellerin dangled a leg in the air and let Salah run from his own half on his own

The numerous freeze frames people have posted on here highlighting where we have 4 players virtually stood on each other's toes defending corners and free kicks are too frequent to be an accident.

Bould played as a centre half in the league's finest ever defence. Whether you blame him or Wenger, what is clear is that none of that defensive discipline has been applied as a coach

Bould doesnt even have the headset when wengers in the stands so wenger passes instructions to another flunky.

Wenger wants Bould gone Im sure but but dares not to sack him because Bouldy might talk and expose TOF .

Bouldy just pockets the cash..he has no infuence and does no coaching.

Theres a lot of passengers on the wenger gravy train.

And every single one of them should be hammered for it

Some of those same people who are defending bouldie, are the ones that wanted gerry peyton sacked a few years ago - surely the logic would tell people that every coach deemed to be presiding over a shitfest, should face the same fate (ie sacking) ?

I was a big advocate (not dick) who thought Peyton was not worthy of being our keeper coach, I also think we need a complete clear out of virtually everyone -but it will only be effective once the head of the snake has gone.
Whilst Wenker remains, nobody down the pecking order gets any input worthy of the name “coach” so to sit back and accept that is professionally unforgivable.
A new manager traditionally brings in his own team of staff, the new broom sweeping clean is something that is way, way overdue
