Russian Oligarchs caught up in Russia Spy poisoning scandal
Could Abramovich and Usmanov be caught up in the backlash from the British government over the Sergei Skripal poisoning. It’s about time we stood up to the Russians, if we make it impossible for Abramovich to have business interests in the UK, then would people also be happy for the same to happen to Usmanov.

I'd be happy for any business people with questionable backgrounds and dealings to be dealt with by any necessary authority, regardless of club alliegance.nut flush gooner wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 11:12 amCould Abramovich and Usmanov be caught up in the backlash from the British government over the Sergei Skripal poisoning. Usmanov is Russian!
He's no doubt every bit as corrupt as the rest of his former Soviet Oligarch friends but I thought he was an Uzbekistan Citizen.

The last thing we Gooners need right now is a situation where usmanov is forced to abandon/sell up any and all business interests in the uk - if kroenke gets his hands on those shares, then the club is fcuked for all time and will go the same way as dirty leeds and notts forest

Funny you should say that, have you noticed that not one country has come out in support of the UK versus the alleged atrocities committed by the Russians. In the wake of Brexit we are truly an isolated nation. There you go did it!DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 5:46 pmIf this turns into a fucking Brexit thread it's getting fucking deleted.

Abramovich should be extradited to Russia and hopefully the chavs go bust. Usmanov can stay because he's Uzbek not Russian, I am not biased. just like when thicko chav fans claim it is coincidence that they've won 5 titles in 13 years since the Russian when it was 1 in nearly 100 years before him.
Seriously though neither of them should be here but we let anyone one in as long as they serve the rich in some way or another, from Oligarch's to cheap Eastern European labour.

Re: Russian Oligarchs caught up in Russia Spy poisoning scandal
So Theresa May announced punitive Sanctions against Russia. Lets see if she has the cahoonas (popular word that!) to carry her threats through.
This includes looking the business activities of the oligarchs. this should have happened in 2004 tbh. There is no way that Abramovich "is fit and proper" to run a football club. He came from nowhere to become a multi-billionaire overnight.
If it drags Usmanov into things so be it, to see that chavvy football club go back to being a mid-table pile of shite would be very appealing.
For too long the British Government has taken sweeteners from Oligarchs, in return for turning a blind eye to their business activities, which include funding what is an extremely corrupt regime in Moscow.
