THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The way rival fans talk about him is odd. They actually feel sorry for him. The narrative is we hounded a poor old Grandad out from his home.

Agreed. I wonder how they'd feel if their manager led them to their worst league finish for 23 years, and if they were the only club in English football without an away point.

Only one Arsene Wenger one Arsene Wenger.
Yes there is only ONE of TOF and thank fuck for that......if there was a second TOF our board would be just about thick enough to sign the other one.

I know a few people who have fallen for that bullshit! They think Wenger is classy and dignified and has been treated badly by fans who have been spoiled by his success.

The fact that this is supposed to be the demanding world of top level competitive sport - which is reflected by the fact that Wenger gets an annual salary of lottery winner proportions - is beyond their comprehension :banghead:

Back when I was 22 I ''knew'' that I would still be going to Highbury when I was an old man ... just like my granddad. In my opinion it is because of Wenger, that this will not happen.

I thank him for nothing! I wish he had never come!

.

yeah i will always blame him for leaving Highbury. I'll never forgive him for that ever.

That's the one for me. I'll get over the last decade and all the other shit but I'll never forgive him or the board for leaving Highbury.

I trust the club will be writing to whoever is responsible for this wanky watering hole to insist that they remove all items which are the intellectual property of Arsenal :D

Look what happens when you export your club to the world, fucking pathetic :banghead:
