The 'I told you so' EU referendum - Officially the Worst Thread Ever
Re: The 'I told you so' EU referendum - Officially the Worst Thread Ever
Watching their pathetic attempt at grilling Zuckerberg now...hard to believe that these incompetents are who run the EU, the truth is more sinister.

So glad we managed to stay in the EU till GDPR came along. Now I don't just get junk mail and spam email but every organisation Ive ever been near is writing asking if they can write or email me again

Amazing how you Brexiteers keep coming up with the most trivial reasons for wanting to leave the EU.Theoperator wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 1:21 pmSo glad we managed to stay in the EU till GDPR came along. Start looking at the bigger picture and you will realise there are far more problems associated with leaving.

Sorry this is a bit off topic - Just watching the Irish referendum coverage - that's contraception, divorce, same sex marriage and abortion which have all been addressed by the Irish public over the years. It's funny what happens when you ask the general public for their opinion on things......the tail no longer wags the dog......sometimes it's called democracy.

A horrible , bitter and divisive referendum which was blighted or fueled by misinformation and scare mongering from both sides..As usual in tabloid thinking Ireland it was black or white. If you said NO you hated women if you said YES you hated children..The world played out by idiots on social media...Glad it's over.Jock Gooner wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 11:21 amSorry this is a bit off topic - Just watching the Irish referendum coverage - that's contraception, divorce, same sex marriage and abortion which have all been addressed by the Irish public over the years. The Irish have held a proper referendum - 66% majority needed for victory.
The Brexit referendum was only an advisory referendum which is why only a 50.1% majority was required. It is also why it doesn’t need to be implemented.

Are you having a laugh pal....you'd probably be happier if it was an 85% majority for everything you believe in.Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 2:18 pmThe Irish have held a proper referendum - 66% majority needed for victory.

Reasonable from your perspective only...........you'd have been quite happy with a 50.1% majority win for Remain and that would have been that as far as the EU question was concerned. My original post was about the Irish referendum and democracy surely has to be reflected by the majority not the minority as that is kind of what democracy is about. You just wanted a 2 goal start for your team to try and make sure you won - not sure I buy into that ideaGunner Rob wrote: ↑Tue May 29, 2018 8:05 amno not really, just putting forward a reasonable point of view.Jock Gooner wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 2:25 pmAre you having a laugh pal....you'd probably be happier if it was an 85% majority for everything you believe in.Gunner Rob wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 2:18 pmThe Irish have held a proper referendum - 66% majority needed for victory.

Re: The 'I told you so' EU referendum - Officially the Worst Thread Ever
Well the big evil EU GDPR came into effect last Friday and no one died because of it.
I managed to get my adoptive department about 75% compliant and found out today they are going to retain my entire project team for at least one more year to bring in more implementation plans. Which is great news because 5 of my team are contracted and I was dreading telling them they were out of a job.
The EU rocks, bitches!
