According to Kicker, Sokratis will undergo his medical at Arsenal over the coming week after agreeing terms on a 3-year deal. #Arsenal will pay Dortmund around £15m for him. https://t.co/xMuanLQ7lr

Lehmann was far more at fault in 2004. 100% responsible for conceding the goal in the away leg, with his usual clowning about then after we had recovered to get a draw and were cruising at 1-0 in the second half of the second leg he was 100% responsible for gifting lampard his goal.

We had beaten and frankly outclassed Chelsea 3 times that year already and were much the better side in the tie until that lampard goal.

Anybody ever wondering why the Invincibles weren’t European champions need not look any further. We would have made fucking mincemeat of Monaco and been absolutely overwhelming favourites to beat Porto.
Mourinho would have tactically raped Wenger in the final though.
Not many teams tactically raped us in 2003/2004. We went to grounds like Stamford Bridge, Anfield and the San Siro and we bossed those games.

Even in the FA Cup semi we should have been out of sight in 15 minutes.

Mourinho had a well-drilled team with a fair bit of talent but as CL finalists go they were a poor side and would have been rank outsiders.

Paris United claim #Arsenal are set to sign 17-year-old PSG wonderkid Yacine Adli. Despite a larger proposal from PSG, the midfielder is not convinced by the club's project. He is rated as one of the biggest prospects in France. https://t.co/DnDeFaJkGX

Adli is regarded as the jewel of the PSG academy & has already been involved in their star studded first team squad, featuring as an unused substitute in a Coupe de la Ligue victory over Strasbourg. https://t.co/3uaZigEUty
PSG fans are absolutely fewmin over this. Boiled piss everywhere that their star academy talent is leaving.

#PSG youngster Yacine Adli will join #Arsenal despite receiving lucrative contract offer from the French champions and interest from Real Madrid & Bayern. Talented attacking midfielder, 17, to become Emery’s first signing (L’Equipe)

Impossible not to be excited by the Yacine Adli signing. One of Europe's hottest properties, wanted by the elite and heading to Arsenal. No guarantee of success obviously, but a major coup for Emery in his first few weeks in the job.

All these defenders, no GK's. We're gonna end up with a 10 CB's aren't we, beating GG's record of 7.

Sven really isn't wasting any time is he. 3 signings pretty much done already.

Contrast this to the Wenger days where he would be too busy doing World Cup punditry and insult our intelligence by telling us the market is dead due to the tournament.

But the signings are a little meh to be honest.

Ok the young lad from PSG is exciting but the rest are a little underwhelming.

How nice it is to see Arsenal being pro active in the transfer market once again.

Very happy with Sokratis, just proves you don't need to spend £75m to get a decent CB. This kid Adli looks special.

Just goes to prove, if you look hard enough you don't need to blow the bank.

He probably hasn't got a chance of making it into PSG's first eleven anytime soon. So why not come to north London and be managed by a fellow countryman. There are shades of Bobby Pires in his style.
