It gets worst.
25000 PROFESSIONAL players voted on their choices for BEST IN THEIR POSITION world wide.
He cannot even get top 55??!!. Even a player in the Japanese league made the list.
These are his peers/contemporaries even colleagues mind you [not Alan,an obscure blogger ]

Are you really this thick? That "survey" is totally discredited (and is obviously a vapid popularity competition) by the fact it also left out Aguero, world cup winning captain Loris, and Monkey Bale who helped Madrid win a 3rd consecutive Champions League title, scoring twice in the final.Blade wrote: ↑Mon Sep 10, 2018 4:11 pmIt gets worst.

Woooooosssshhhhh!!!
Slowly now just for you.
A popularity poll that fails to list one of the best strikers in the world (Aguero), one of the top Keepers that led his country to winning the world cup (Loris), and one of the best attacking wide players in the world that played a major part in winning 3 CL finals and scored 2 goals (one of them a world class goal) in the final (Bale). That is a stupid poll based on personal opinion and popularity. If you cannot see that you are thicker than I thought - and that is saying something !!
Now why don't you do us all a huge favour and pull your head out of your ass and go stink up that other nonexistent "better forum" with your ill thought out dullard horseshit. There's a good lad.

You are the one that needs to be careful. You've been warned before. If you are posting just to provoke a negative reaction from our members then it is you that is in contravention of forum rules in the first instance.

Re: OZIL No shows, Injury, illness ??
This spat now seems to be less and less about the pros and cons of Ozil and more and more a personal tiff (a little too personal at times).
Both parties completely disagree with, and summarily dismiss, pretty much every point the other makes.
Take the latest bone of contention; the FIPRO poll. To me, to dismiss it as 'a popularity contest' and 'discredited' seems unfair. 25,000 professionals is a significant sample and every player on the list is a top performer. You could argue that Lloris should replace Navas, though the latter won the CL again, or that Aguero should replace Benzema or Lukaku, though he fell out of favour with Pep. However, you'd be hard pressed imo to support Ozil over anyone on the list. That though doesn't mean Ozil is a bad player (there are plenty of top players who didn't make the list). This argument has become a demonstraion of confirmation bias.
Could we maybe leave the overall opinions of Ozil for a while and if we're going to debate him, keep it to post-match analysis?
When Tony Blair has finished his excellent work in the Middle East I'll be having a go at that gig.

Re: OZIL No shows, Injury, illness ??
You're not saying anything that hasn't been said before. The problem here is we have a poster using this poll to try and somehow "prove" his opinion that Ozil is a "shit player". THAT devalues that poll for the purposes of this discussion / argument / whatever as it by association implies that Aguero, Loris and Bale are shit too.GranadaJoe wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 5:58 pmThis spat now seems to be less and less about the pros and cons of Ozil and more and more a personal tiff (a little too personal at times).

The same poster has continually used quotes taken out of context and/or from people with agendas to justify his argument. Repeatedly. To the point where he has irritated other posters and provoked a negative reaction. That clear enough for you, Lionel?
