Ginger knuckle dragging toffies H Weds 1st March KO 745pm

Advice regarding weekend football prior to meetings shortly and at 11am (Prem) is being briefed that individual clubs may choose whether to play or not over the weekend, or how they commemorate/celebrate/mourn.
We'll be off.

Will they refund everyone's travel and accommodation expenses?

Ridiculous to cancel all fixtures. What an opportunity missed to show respect in the stadiums!

Total disrespect to the fans to cancel at such short notice. Refund all flights, trains and hotels.

I'm lucky enough in that it was only travel expenses I had to pay out,I'm staying with family in London and they re season ticket holders so I was going to use 1 of their tickets ,but for people further a field paying for everything and probably taking days off work to come for a game to see it postponed at such short notice is disgraceful, the PL seem to think only English people follow English clubs.

On a brighter note I'll still be going to London anyway :barscarf:

Shame that you can't hang on for PSV as I am sure that Uefa won't cancel their matches.

Only football. Rugby, cricket, golf, boxing and horse racing will all take place. Pretty much everything else will go on as normal for pretty much everyone until the funeral, but as usual, the football authorities have to show how much they care…

… though it won’t stop them flying off to Qatar.

There's a real arrogance at play here that assumes everyone is a royalist.

Personally I despise royalty, all royalty. Its an archane medieval concept that should no longer exist. The idea that some lazy inbred born into a life of privilege and unearned wealth is viewed as "superior" to a man that has worked hard all his life is mindless to me.

And this complete horseshit of the royal family "serving" the people and "living a life of service" is utter bollocks. Living in a castle and going on multiple holidays every year at the tax payers' expense is not "serving" or working ffs.

Whilst I have no real hatred for the Queen as a person, her death affects me no more than if Madonna or Helen Mirren died. They are just famous people that have had no impact on my life.

I understand a certain type of person wants to mourn or celebrate her life or whatever, but to cancel all these games and inconvenience so many hard working people is a disgrace. :x

Couldn't agree more mate; except for the Helen Mirren bit - Many's the wrist action I saw when she was in her prime :-P :D

My maternal Grandmother lived till she was 87yrs of age and had 14 children... mostly was back in work a day or two after having given birth; she couldn't afford not to work, she was an amazing person a die-hard socialist and went on may a protest and march right up into her early 80's... in the war she often couldn't afford food for her family and so would go to a nearby woods and trap rabbits, collect berries and other foodstuffs...Never did any of the royals have to worry about the price of a pint of milk or a loaf of bread... Nor have to darn their children's clothes or mend their shoes...

As DB says Nothing personal against the queen. but all the sycophants living off being 'connected' makes me puke...

One of the reasons she lived so long was because she never had the worries and woes that cause so much stress and ill-health in your everyday person, she had the very best medical care etc...

And yet we have to forego watching our beloved team/s  She has/ had "Millions" in the bank, so why don't they refund everyone's rail/travel/ hotel costs? Yeah Right!

Then of course there's old Charlie who will be made King ... and his 'bit on the side' during his marriage to Diana will be made Consort..... So he gets to fuck some other woman behind his wife's back... there is HUGE suspicion about how she actually met her death and yet the 'other woman' gets to be be made queens consort - Nah! Fuck em All bunch of leeching sycophantic incestuous reptiles.

:proudtosay:

 The only benefit we might get from the Everton game being postpones is that our injured players may have more time to recover to be able to play, other than that it is WRONG.
