I don't know what's worse, the ref being dogshit or Lee Dixon weirdly thinking the ref is doing great :?

Surprise surprise, play a midfielder as a striker and they aren't deadly  :banghead:

One thing is clear in this game. City are shit scared of Odegaard.

Honours even in the first half. Citeh had the first 20 minutes but we came back well and should be ahead now.

I know odeargod played that great pass in behind for saka, but for me partey has been the fulcrum of our attacking play - he tries to pass forward every chance he gets, whilst odeargod is still tippy tappy sidewards 5 yards passes imo

Two chances but neither were nailed on. Everyone at Chavski was shite last year. We can’t judge him on 45 minutes. At least he got in the position to score which isn’t bad given that he isn’t a striker.

And our pressing has forced errors a couple of times deep in their half.

We need to learn how to beat them at least once, or not lose both matches in the league to have any chance of coming top.

We grew into that game nicely as the half wore on, Odegaard started to turn the screw and we had city pinned in.

Havertz should have buried that chance, I’d love him to get one, he looks like a confidence player and if he could get a few under his belt you’d never know. He’s a much more physical option up there than Eddie who’d be bullied by those city defenders.

Timber looks like a great addition, Saliba mark 2 hopefully.

Yeah, he should have done much better with those chances. I will say, however, that he’s doing well with his psoriasis play. He’s getting into positions where he CAN shoot at them. If he can improve on his finishing then I think he could do well, because positionally, he seems very aware.
