Just looked it up and actually it's 6 players. All saw action on their US tours.

Timber, Nkunku, Militao, Courtois, Mings, and Buendia.

Just an opinion but maybe those crappy temp pitches put too much stress on joints.

Our game against the Mancs apparently they were actually painting the worst parts green just 20 minutes before kick off.

One report I saw showed someone by one of the corner flags actually lifting up a huge amount of the turf as if it was a rug.

As soon as someone mentioned Bad Pitches on the US pre-season that game immediately came to mind... It really did look like it had been laid an hour before kick-off. :banghead:

Apparently and I don't know if this is true ,the damage done was on the other leg not the leg he injured originally in the 1st half :?

Hopefully it's no more than a tweak as a full blown rupture (the 7 to 9 months out that is being reported) would have seen Timber in complete agony as Mings and Militao certainly were.

The club should never have found itself in the position of playing on those pitches. They were an absolute disgrace
The club has spent millions on its assets and should be protecting them from a financial perspective if not the playing perspective.

I said that on the United match thread at the time. Imagine spending 100 million quid on a player and then leaving him play on a pitch that had been rolled out off the back of a van 4 hours earlier. Absolutely fucking mental.

Would you splash out a few hundred grand on a Lamborghini and then drive it down a country lane covered in shit and riddled in pot holes? Would you fuck.

That “pitch” was a disgrace and while we’ll never know for sure if it contributed to this injury even taking the slightest risk with these players playing on that crap was bat shit.

All about the all mighty dollar though I guess

Totally avoidable and quite frankly amateurish player management!

Official Arsenal statement on Timber injury 🚨🔴⚪️ #AFC

“Jurrien Timber has received extensive scans which have confirmed he has sustained an injury to his right knee”.

“Jurrien will undergo a further detailed review with a consultant to assess the full extent of the injury”.

I'll translate that.....

Yes as we all clearly know, Timber has fucked his knee. We'll say he's out for weeks but it will be months. Several comments like 'we don't know how long he'll be out for', 'he's suffered a setback' and, 'it doesn't look good' will be used at various stages.
