If people want to watch it, that's fine but the standard is woeful and the spectrum of playing abilities within the league is massive. That doesn't make for anything interesting or exciting. Certain clubs and we are one of them have done a huge amount and spent a huge amount of women's football over the years but all you hear from them is how they want more and more and how everything's unfair. They seem to think they are entitled to exactly the same media coverage, money and lifestyles that male footballers have but on their own terms. It's laughable at times just how bad the standard is even after all the money that has been poured in to it but still nobody in the press will ever say what everyone really sees and thinks. It's a novelty act, about the same skill level and pace as a League Two U13's side.

I completely agree that the demands for wage parity and equal media coverage etc is complete nonsense and of course most decent under 15 boys side would beat any of them, but the women's game has improved no end and I don't mind watching the decent sides. The whole parity thing and the ceaseless media narrative to promote it, when it's obvious that it would have trouble as a stand alone sport without piggy-backing on the men's game, is a complete joke. It has, however, greatly improved as a spectacle and the top games are worth a watch, in my opinion. I don't particularly go out of my way to watch it, but often catch the highlights. Interestingly, just like the men's side, in recent years we always come up just short when it really matters, because the chavs and City have bought success.
Mind you, the chavs manager, Emma Hayes, does seem to really understand the game and if a woman coach could make the transition to managing a men's side, then she'd be the likely candidate. I'd like to see how she'd get on....not at our place though.

Chubbsy Blokeface Hayes wouldn't last a wet week in men's football. There would be zero respect for her from the players. She has managed at a level equivalent to boys under 14s football at best. Certainly not under 15s because any time a woman's team play against a boys under 15s the boys hammer them about 12 nil ffs.
Also there is the fact she did not come up through the game. And I mean the proper game. The men's game. No player will respect that.
