ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

🚨 Ipswich Town has prepared a £60m offer for Arsenal duo Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe!!!

🔸️Ipswich want to leave a strong mark on their return to the Premier League

Really can’t see Ipswich spending that

Palace is likely for Eddie and Nelson or Brighton

Did you see palace last night ? No way the feather gets anywhere near that starting 11

Btw Brighton have TWO strikers (ferguson and joao pedro) who are better than any striker we have

For that price we'll also chuck in El Neney, Cedric, Zinchencko, Nelson, Traveres, Lokonga and a bi-monthly visitation rights for the labrador.

🚨 @FabrizioRomano: “From what I’m hearing, Arsenal have not made any communication to Gabriel Jesus or to his agents about the intention to sell him in the summer transfer window, but this is not changing Arsenal’s strategy in terms of strikers.”

“Arsenal want to bring in a new striker in the summer, but it doesn’t mean that they have to sell Jesus. We’ll see what happens in the summer, but at the moment, the feeling is Arsenal could sell Eddie Nketiah instead, because there is interest from clubs in the Premier League.” [@caughtoffside] #afc

🔴⚪️ Arsenal are still in talks with talent Amario Cozier-Duberry as contract negotiations have not collapsed yet.

⚪️⚫️ Newcastle want him and made a proposal but not done deal yet, several European clubs are approaching 2005 born talent.

No final decision yet.

Nope didn’t watch Palace, It looks like 2 / 3 of their better players won’t be there next season, Eddie is probably their kind of player / level

In my opinion, if the cone boy thinks douglas luiz is the answer to our midfield problems, then he is in serious, serious bother - last night when villa needed him he was found wanting big time. He seems incapable of injecting any type of pace/urgency into his game when his team is chasing the game, and it was lard arse mcginn who was the one driving them forward, plus luiz's set pieces were awful. Being honest I have always been unsure about douglas luiz but last night I decided to watch him as a potential signing, and he strikes me as a guy who will look good in a game that you are winning and dominating possession, but if you are chasing the game he is incapable of taking the game on and last night he was poor defensively too
