As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not a bookie. At one point that dude owed huge sums to both Ladbrokes and Willy Hills.

Feckin hell Demzy. Mind me asking how?

Basically, i look at whos playing who on match day, then i compare the home teams form at home, and the away teams form when they play away and make my judgement at whos gonna win or if it will be a draw.

When was this? 100 years ago in the days of blacked out windows and sawdust floors?

I worked in a bookies for 5 years and heard a lot of tales about his failed career as a punter but zero about him running his own book. :?

A bet on George Groves to be a world boxing champion by december 31st 2011.

Dont know odds but would be high.

A good bet.

I tend to stick a fiver or a tenner into my ladbrooks account. But only do this when the funds empty. Infact when it's so low I tend not to bother.

I stuck a fiver on the other day and lost some small bets.
Was going to bet on 2-0 England and was thinking about making it a scorecast. Gladly, I wasn't online in time by which time we were losing.

However, I heard on the tele Couch was coming on at thought that was worth a punt as next scorer. I got decent odds on the live bets. Got a return of £12!!
Not massives of amounts I'm up in my account.

I really hope that was a deliberate display of humour/sarcasm and not an unintentional joke. 8)

Smoothy seduced me and lead me away from the forum with promises of love, devotion and sausage sandwiches.

Other than my appetite being satisfied, it was a real let down.

  :D
