i have no issue with the new mods, most seem sensible choices, as seem to be on here a lot and post mostly sensible stuff (although jayson typed a lot of bollox, it was funny, so have no issue with him modding..i mean it just takes abit of common sense as what to allow or not, but a hell of a lot of time which is the main problem, so the perosns style of posting should not impact how they mod).

that said surprising the likes of quartz, gooner (the one posting here), and the bloke who had the lowry picture, going to the match, as his avatar are not mods too.

only concern is the guy who i seem to remember being an ardent AKB, and the danger of him getting above his station and cutting what undermines his position.

I like reading g88ner's post and find he is one of the few "glass half full" guys that you can enjoy having a good debate with (bdb is another btw) I can understand and agree with the principle in his beliefs about how mods should be appointed but at the same time I have no probs with jayson and of anything, him being promoted to being a mod might cut down the amount of homosexual stuff so it is a win win situation
I totally understand mike's reasoning on why and how the new mods were selected and there can be no doubt that he was up to his tonsils trying to get this place re-opened (although I might have been slightly impatient waiting for it though ). I would also add that there are probably a few others on here, g88ner included, that would have stepped up to the plate if it meant keeping the forum alive but were unaware that more mods were needed and for what it is worth I think he would make a good and fair minded mod

Yes I have made a mistake in the past by making one extremely wrong comment in the heat of the moment but did I not apologise straight away and say I was in the wrong?

As for my style of posting, maybe you don't like but if you cast your memory back to a few weeks before the forum was shut down the overall majority didn't mind it. Maybe now I'm modding I'll tone it down a bit because I don't think I'll have enough time. I've got nearly 5000 posts and don't think they're all about male body parts or conversations. This is a forum where people post what they want (within reason), like the basement and now Cannonballs says it's like a virtual pub where anything goes. Maybe that is where I should frequent more re the in-jokes and personal convos.

This forum is so different to many others and was the reason I signed up a couple of years ago, I come on here probably a couple of times a day (the student scum that I am) so when it went down, I wanted to offer my help in getting it back up. You say I seem like a nice bloke but go on to post paragraphs about me when you don't even know me, maybe think back to my input organising CharlieCharlie's collection fund last year before you want to start slatting me some more. I've met a load of people off of here that I can now call friends and will probably know for the rest of my life <3

So, I'll keep my in-jokes and personal convo's to Cannonballs and get on with the job of helping the other mods and Mike keep this place open because to me it seems like this is the last chance of that. I don't think Mike wants to come on here every night to reply to your disatsfaction at me being appointed mod for what I see are fairly pedantic bar my mistake reasons.

At the end of the day your just a normal homosexual young guy. Why cant people just accept that.

Augie, very nice words my man, but I would never have considered myself a "glass half full" person until I joined this forum and met some of the miserable bastards on here! (and yes, you're one of them)

Anyway, I was only voicing my opinion and I hope Jay sees it as that rather than a personal attack (although, I accept the lines may appear blurred ). I like Jay, and see him more as the forum jester now that G n u (why is that asterixed out??) has gone... a skinny g n u, if you like
