Awful performance by pretty much averyone apart from Rosicky who i thought had a good game and Chesney was at fault for both goals. Well played Wigan they did a number on us

Ok so im not Wenger but I'll have a go at answering on his behalf.

1.) Cannot understand why Benayoun was subbed? He and Rosicky were having good games.

You have not worked half a day in football.

2.) Why was Oxlade-Chamberlain only given 20 minutes or so to make a difference, is he not fully fit?

If Chamberlain plays more then 20 minutes per week prior to the age of 21 his bones will explode.

3.) When Arteta went off, Ramsey came on. At this point Song should have been told to act as defensive midfielder, with a brief to only cross the half way line in extreme conditions. Was this done, or do you consider Ramsey to be a defensively adept midfielder at this stage of his career?

I think overall people have a lot of opinions nowadays. Oh and you haven't worked half a day in football.

4.) Why was Song dropped into an already shaky defence made up of players not used to playing alongside each other?
Djourou was ok tonight, and Song had a very poor game.

In fairness, song was more of a liability to our defence playing as a midfielder then a centre half.

But alas, I have not worked half a day in football either.

Song was his usual insipid self again last night. Slow, clumsy, pissed easy posession away, and gave away stupid cheap free kicks. He gives the CH's no cover whatsoever. And why oh fucking why is every pass he attempts now got to be the Hollywood pass? How many actually work? One in 50? If that? Keep it simple. Like yourself!!

And now Song has a bit of an attitude about himself too! Did anyone else see him having a pop at Tommy V for venturing forward when we were chasing the game? Looked like TV5 gave him a mouthful back, hopefully along the lines of "Well at least when I get up there I fucking score!".

Ramsey was hopeless again. There is a decent footballer in there somewhere but we haven't seen him yet this season. Loan deal ASAP please.

Santos was terrible. As was Chesney for their second goal.

Arteta going off so early was crucial, I think. The amount of work he does on and off the ball is seldom recognised or creditted. He also knows how to keep things simple when need be and retain posession. All things Ramsey (at the moment anyway) and Song are incapable of.

They deserved to win as they were the better team in most areas. But their victory is tainted with the timewasting and injury feigning.

Wenger's post match interview with Sky was disgusting, he is the most ungracious manager in the world, he never gives any credit to the opposition at all, embarrassing, and all he can do during a game is berate the 4th official, as he can't change a game through his tactical nous of which he has none. Agreed 100%, Frank. I've never liked people that accept defeat with a laugh and a smile (like some of our fuckwad team at old shatford the day of the 8-2) but I absolutely hate when someone can't at least be gracious and give credit where it's due. Wigan were the better team. Yeah, they dived a bit and wasted time but that is no excuse for our failings on the pitch. They wanted it more.

Well I thought I'd give myself the night to sleep on it and try to be rational about things but all this latest farce tells me is what I've known throughout this season, and what will prevail into next if Wenger sits on his hands this Summer:

1. If RvP is not fit and firing, and...
2. If the first choice centre half pairing is broken up, and....
3. If Mikel Arteta is not playing, then...

This is a very ordinary Arsenal team, fragile at the back, mechanical in its sideways passing and ever vulnerable at the back with a complete lack of maturity in the midfield

If Maryanne the Camel is not deemed worthy of 10 minutes from the bench in a game we are losing 1-2 when it is blatantly obvious to everyone in the ground that from every Sczezny kick and every cross into the box Wigan were able to head the ball clear unchallenged, then frankly I don't know why the guy is still here. If your replacement strikers can not take to the field in situations like last night then it shows up our lack of transfer activity in the goalscoring department for what it was in the last two windows i.e. gross negligence on the part of the management of the club. Finally RvP has run dry, and look at the result - a rag bag performance with no threat of a shot on goal in the last 30 minutes

I'm not going to criticise RvP or Sagna who were both awful last night but have been remarkably consistent almost every time they have taken the field this season and are now both clearly knackered and/or carrying knocks. Rosicky and the Verminator are the other two who I thought tried their upmost to rescue the game yesterday.

For his own good Aaron Ramsey needs to be taken out of the firing line - the kid looks shot to pieces, bereft of confidence to the point where even the simplest of passes is becoming an issue. Walcott proved yet again that against a full back of similar fitness and pace that he is found wanting when it comes to trying other ways (other than sheer pace) to beat his man.

But lets save the best till last - Gervinho - truly a man to turn to in a crisis. What did Wenger say about him saving us from "dizzying prices"....the only dizzying impact he has is caused by endless running in circles. As Baba once said, the Ivorian Tony Daley - a truly brainless, second rater whose place in Arsenal legend will be alongside Jimmy Carter, Glenn Helder and Chris Kiwomya

As always, top post Steve. Amazing how we can get 9 wins out of 10 and then a couple of defeats against QPR and Wigan puts everything back in the melting pot and again we're faced with another 'must win' game on Saturday. Drogba's in the mood again so a little hamstring strain tomorrow would be handy or yet again he could rape us but last night again showed why the chequebook has to come out to buy a quality midfielder who is a game changer. Song thinks he can pull out a Bergkamp world class pass every game but last night he just showed why he needs to get down to the local hospital for a brain transplant...stupid foul after stupid foul after......and I want to change my name to Santos-Why? The bloke in front of me kept shouting 'SUNDAY MORNING PUB PLAYER' all night. Think he might have a point!

Wigan deserve the credit for playing their game. We were not in form, and if we were we would've maybe held on for a 1-0 win or a 1-1 draw. We were not in form at all, but he has plenty of opportunities, especially in the first half, but the Wigan GK stepped up his game, and he and his team deserve the credit. They defended well inthe 2nd half.

This was the worst home game this season that I've been too. I honestly felt like I wasted my money. A bit harsh, but it's true. We need to make our defense deeper. We need a backup for Arteta as well, and Ramsey isn't proving to be it. He is unable to control the midfield. What good is winning the ball if you can't produce any movement forward.

Wenger needs to rethink his tactics, own up to his mistakes, give credit where it's due, and bring in some more solid players to ensure a strong deep team. What good is making the CL if you can't win it, or at least get to that final? We should be challenging for the title, not struggling to hang onto 3rd for the CL. When in the CL, we should be making to at least the semis most seasons as well.

Kos is back for the Chelsea game. Although not sure the goals were Djourou's fault it is clear the back 4 lacks confidence with him in it.
