Well, if he hogs it like he does the ball on a pitch, then it's terminal.

Not nice at all for the lad. The condition could be very troublesome, but I wish the lad a very speedy recovery.

Love how the press are making a big deal out of him missing the Olympics, sod that he's in a bad way.

It's not even that big of a news story.

Viral meningitis is contracted by lots of people without them even knowing they had it. There is no treatment for it, it just goes away on its own.

I know this because my son had it and I shat my pants waiting for the results of his spinal tap to verify if it was the lethal bacterial strain.

All the while he was bouncing round the hospital beds playing Spiderman. I doubt Sturridge is doing the same but you never know.

Just read a bit about it here, http://www.meningitis.org/disease-info/ ... meningitis
As Number 5 says it doesn't seem to be the most life threatening disease ever.
Most people recover with no noticeable effects, however recent studies have found that some patients with viral meningitis may develop short-term memory loss and attention deficits
Sounds like any other footballer

Maybe I am reading my comments differently than you are so I will clarify them - sturridge is a chav c**t, in fact I would go further than that and say that he an arrogant chav c**t :x Do I wish ill on him ? No I dont but likewise I dont really give two fcuks about him either as he means no more to me than the thousands of others across the world who currently are suffering with meningitis

If that makes me a bad c**t then I can live with that
