You're loving that quote aren't you mate - its not quite up there with the two transfer markets theory or the 'special circumstances' of Old Trafford and Wembley, but a belter nonetheless.DB10GOONER wrote:I'm confused.... but hey! You better go into hiding if we beat Villa, because the Wenger lovefest will go into overdrive

Illusionary domination
Re: VILLA AWAY
Used at both Carrow Road and Old Trafford unless I'm mistaken. Its obviously this year's buzz phrase......'special circumstances' was so 2011mcdowell42 wrote:Illusionary domination

Re: VILLA AWAY
Last time we lost there was against ManUtd
Last time Villa did us there was 1998
Something about that place...can't recall a longer unbeaten run for us on the road

Re: VILLA AWAY
I was there for, among many, the 2-6 when Woodcock scored five and came so close to equalling Ted Drakes (?) record, and the 3-2 when we were two up at half time and santa jumped out of a plane and hit the roof on the way down....hit the deck right in front of us as we were in with the Villa down the side (EDIT: just realised that was the last time we lost there v Villa - as Sammy said, 1998).
And I was there for more semi finals than I can count - including two we lost against United.
Hope all that are going enjoy as it is a (reasonably) happy hunting ground and one of my favourite days out over the years!
