Newcastle away fans deal

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Hopefully we take them up on this offer
I emailed them asking if they would take up the offer and provided a link to the story. Here's the response:
Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your email.

As detailed in the newspaper report we have put a discount of £2.0 on every away ticket. We cannot comment on any plans going forward regarding any other offer.

Regards
Elaine Sigrist

£2.50 is a drop in the ocean for a long away trip that can top £100 or so per person at times. That £10 voucher to encourage you to buy more stuff in the ground, well, you have to laugh.

It's symbolic but nothing more than that at the moment, clubs will resist any changes as much as they can - as is their right - safe in the knowledge at clubs like Arsenal that a 3,000 allocation will always sell out.

TBF the £10 voucher means a few free HT drinks at the home games......and they did that last year anyway. But hope Newcastle's offer is reciprocated.....and a start of a trend.

But don't worry, Arsenal are offering us 80p off   Not even out of their own money either...

Sorry but knowing Shitty prices are subsidised by the Abu Dhabi treasury makes me sceptical about their initiatives.

I know what you're saying but at the end of the day if it's gonna put a few hundred quid in your pocket over the course of a season if you travel to a lot of away games who cares?
