Would absolutely love to have Fabregas in the squad and think you'd be a lunatic not to. But agree that as a player like him is hardly #1 priority with our current strengths and weaknesses and I wouldn't be wanting us to shell out £30m+ which realistically it would take as a minimum.
The last thing we need is another attacking midfielder which is why I wouldnt be surprised if it was the only area we strengthened. Any update on this supposed Barca transfer ban?
My head says the team needs to be strengthened across the board so as long as it doesn't detract from what we actually NEED, we should take him back.
But my heart says he's a striking *word censored* who disrespected the club to get his "dream move home", and they no longer want him so why should we take him back.
That whole Reina/Cesc Barca jersey stunt left a bad taste in this poster's mouth too. Yes, you could argue that Cesc knew very little or nothing about it but he was an Arsenal player at the time and it was pretty classless.
In isolation I would take him back definitely, there is no reason why he couldnt play alongside Ramsey / Jack sitting deeper than he does for Barca, and still allow us to have Ozil in the side.
We can't take it isolation though, we need a right back, left back, back up centre half x2, back up goalie x2, Arteta replacement and a striker.
So in all likelihood Cesc will be our first summer purchase.
