Rocky Memorial

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thanks for the credit but it's undeserved, I've just done what everyone else has thought for years.

The timing isn't ideal but let's see how far it gets over close season and then really drive it home in August time.

I have tried to engage the club about this but haven't had anything back so far. Hopefully they come back with an official line sooner rather than latre.

Apparently in a Turkish Gaol it means- "My faviourite Cock Gobbling Boy Friend" - At least that's what Liverpool fans say....

Brief update.

We are at just under 2,300 signatures. We will be trying to kick this on again when preseason starts and people start paying attention to football again. Bearing in mind with little promotion we are at this stage, it's quite impressive from the old Arsenal guard.

The club have not at this stage replied to my email, I suspect when we get into five figures they will engage. Time will tell.

With Rocky's family being guests at Wembley, surely the statue is on its way.

More than guests, his wife was centre, great gesture and pure class by Arsenal FC.

Signed and tweeted to She Wore a Yellow Ribbon and Arsenalfantv.

With regards to the latter, if they could do a you tube vid about this that would easily get the signatures past 10k. Social media is definitely the way to get the message out.

Seemed a real nice guy, met him once and had a quick chat, at an away game somewhere, genuine guy very friendly with a real interest in the fans

Sadly missed, but never forgotten
