The OX as CF????

The Ox seems best when out wide coming in past players and shooting. Does that make him a back now, or wide midfielder?

No just no for CF, he isnt a run onto the ball person, nor a large/ bulky/ strong (Delete according to the player or hairstyle) lay it off person , more a scare oppos shitless with runs and for me thats best from angles in, rather than centrally.

The Ox has similar pace to Theo - BUT he also has a Footballing Brain, is more muscular and so more difficult to shake off the ball, he also has better feet/skills...so IF people think Theo an play the CF position then sure as hell so can The Ox....

Ox is a very good Mid-field player, but he needs to work on his abilities to defend...he is lacking in that area for sure.

Yeah, why the hell not! We don't have that many choices and clearly our two main strikers can't do the job. 8)

Ox is a good player but not as good as he thinks he is . His ago has grown but his brain hasnt . Destined to be a career selfie taker .

Not a centre forward. If it clicks the ox will be almost as good as bale.

Can't believe people are still questioning if theo has a footballing brain.

Presumably because its so obvious that he doesn't?? Came on with 2 minutes left yesterday to stretch the game and offer an outlet and within 30 seconds had managed to needlessly lose the ball twice in the middle of the pitch.

Thought Chamberlain looked a cut above that mid table dross yesterday, end product wasn't quite there but good luck picking out a sulking timid Giroud.

Theo will always be Theo

Giroud will always be Giroud.

Ox can be something else if the end product comes... :barscarf:

This ^^. There is not much else we will get from Theo or Giroudzema. We have seen their level and it is bang average. Ox (IF MANAGED AND COACHED RIGHT) could still develop into something special. At the moment, he has no end product, but that can improve with work and things like smart training drills etc.

Personally I don't see him as a CF, but then only Wenger saw Henry as one!

I see the Ox was standing and admiring Vardy's shooting technique for the second on Saturday. Surprised he didn't get an on pitch selfie he stood there long enough....

Errr, I don't know if anyone has noticed, but Chamberlain's off the ball movement is probably his worst trait. It's non existent, which is why he's so often on the peripheral.

Someone with his pace should be looking to get in behind defenders but he just stands there ball watching until it's passed to him and then usually just goes into head down + charge mode.

Also, he has no end product.

If you're having a lone striker it's imperative that they have good movement (and an ability to run in behind) - it's what Walcott offers over Giroud.

Totally agree that he doesn't have the movement (amongst other things) to do this role - huge potential but he needs to learn how to play one position first.
