Re: The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread
Just saw that Dortmund are supposedly “demanding” Giroud as part of a deal for Aubameyang.
Couldn’t make it up - I’d drive him there myself. Didn’t realise he’s fucking 31 too.

Mhikitaryn was a good player when at Dortmund, less likely here but you never know. We were never going to hold on to Sanchez because the muppets running the club don't have the ambition for it.
I'm less inclined to want a complete scorched earth of the team unlike some fans so that when a new manager finally takes over from fuckwit there might actually be something left to attract a decent one rather than a Wenger clone and something he might actually be able to build from
It will be interesting to see how the ox and feo do at their new clubs - because if they do Improve and progress, it will be another confirmation that wengercunt can no longer get the best from players. We have all seen how the likes of Holding, Chambers, Bellerin have gone backwards under his tutelage. So as and when the duffer does fuckoff, if we do still have a half-decent squad with one or two 'gems' in there, it may be possible for the much claimed 5 - 7 years for a new manager to re-build the squad and restore Arsenal to some sort of semblance to be far less. What we will then have to contend with is the owner and whether he will be willing to 'Invest' some serious dosh rather than look at making more at the sake of Trophies etc.

Not sure about that. If we get rid of Giroud would we actually have anyone of note on the bench?northbank123 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 8:57 amJust saw that Dortmund are supposedly “demanding” Giroud as part of a deal for Aubameyang.

But if it meant getting Aubameyang I could live with it.

Kroenke has consistently stated that he is not at Arsenal to win the league.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 9:48 amAgreed.GoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 11:54 pmIt's called pragmatism Nick, i don't like the situation anymore than anyone else on here but i'm also not going to wallow in self pitying depression like some. Although in reality Wenger is likely to try and shoehorn one of them into a wide role. Although I’ve had more than enough of watching Welbeck and Iwobi fuck around out there.

I won't believe that the Aubameyang deal is off until Wenger says
one day I will tell you why we did not sign him

Wenger's such a socialist that he is already trying to drum up sales for his infamous book, despite earning nigh on £10M a year for the last decade.rodders999 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 2:37 pmI won't believe that the Aubameyang deal is off until Wenger saysone day I will tell you why we did not sign him

Stan Kroenke has strengthened his position as Arsenal's majority shareholder with the purchase of new shares.Redarmy wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 11:35 am100% correctGunner Rob wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 10:35 amKroenke has consistently stated that he is not at Arsenal to win the league.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 9:48 amAgreed.GoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 11:54 pmIt's called pragmatism Nick, i don't like the situation anymore than anyone else on here but i'm also not going to wallow in self pitying depression like some. It increases Kroenke's total stake in the Gunners to 67.09 per cent

We still after Jonny Evans?,
City get this guy:

---------------
Says it all, we are FUBAR, no chance of competing with this not because we can't but because our board/management/owner has no intention of even trying.

Lucas Perez and Joel Campbell are still on the books so surely with the loss of Sanchez either would be an option to recall because either are better than Welbeck or Iwobi out wide.
And before anyone says anything i'm not advocating either as a replacement for Sanchez just as a better option than the other two because i seriously can't see us buying an equivalent replacement any time in the next decade

Perez was treated poorly but he was a poor signing from the start. Always looked to me as though he was far too slow to really prosper in this league at this level. Still better than Iwobi mind, who I really think will be doing pretty well if he carves out a decent Championship career for himself.

Re: The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread
I reckon that's our lot for this window i'm not feeling a vibe on the Aubameyang deal i'm so used to these 'high profile' signings being touted by every man and his dog and then them failing to come off due to the clubs ineptitude that i feel this might be another Mbappe fiasco, but we'll see....
Interestingly enough yet another one of the troublesome players Wenger let go seems to be doing relatively well at Juventus, Szczesny has played 14 times this season and had 10 clean sheets, possibly yet another player let down by Wengers lack of discipline ethos, I wonder how many players AW has broken or mismanaged over the years, does it reach into the 3 figures yet?

Sorry, never really rated Campbell and at 25 he should be at the peak of his game now.
