Alexis Alejandro Sánchez

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just different class - things didn't really click for him today and yet again he was still the match-winner.

I said at the time (like most Gooners I imagine) that he would be a class signing because he's top drawer, amazing attitude and is probably one of the only players who fits into the wide forward role we play comfortably - and even I've been taken aback by how good he's been. Wow.

He alone, despite the shit he has to play with and the useless *word censored* he has to play for, deserves to win something this year. Hope he plays a binder in the final and wins it for himself

not his best performances but the way we bullies defenders and always has a DIY attitude to winning the ball is so good to see, he will be so important in the final. no way would I start walcott or welbeck in the final, we need sanchez, giroud and ozil in in the front 3. I know everyone says ozil is better centrally but he got rinsed in the secondhalf today, not physical enough. he has that killer ball but not the brawn to play in the middle.

Sánchez's attitude today was outstanding. He got kicked a fair bit at times but just got up and carried on. I hope Gerrard was watching that and learns a lesson.

Love that about him (among many things). I can think of a fair few others from his part of the world who'd be pissing around on the floor in "agony" then seeking revenge through silly petulant fouls or worse with the treatment he gets, but he just gets up and gets on with it

Can't believe he wasn't given the MOTM award yesterday. The goal was amazing but so was just about everything else he did. True enough there were many contenders but I think he still rose head and shoulders above the others. Nice piece they were running on him on the Beeb during the build up too - humble guy

The header he won to set up Wally's goal sums the guy up, pure determination. The man's a fucking beast, build the team around him. WORLD CLASS :barscarf:

If we can add one or two more of his quality than this team is going places, only problem is, we say the same thing every year but it defiantly feels like it's closer now than it has been.

Unbelievable energy and his attitude drags his team mates off the floor.

Saw the BBC story, really rags to riches story.
