THE NORTHBANKBREN TV SHOW THREAD

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

If Wenger was Head of Programming at the network then it would still have been commissioned into series 12

Stella Street. BBC cult classic, 1997-2001.

Only in this show can you see David Bowie and Marlon Brando getting into a pub fight, with Jack Nicholson trying to break them up whilst Bowie offers out Dustin Hoffman. Genius!

I finished watching or stalking her now. The series was imo very good. An enjoyable bunch of 'episodes' :D

My latest discovery is Cooper Barrett's Guide To Surviving life

This has only 2 episodes so far but worth a watch if you can find it.

Still believe The Wire to be the best show of all time.

The Sopranos and Oz are great shows.

I recently watched The Day Today and Brass Eye on YouTube. Excellent satire which predicted the sensationalised news of today.

That and Dead Wood..............................Oooops! and The Soprano's natch

Deadwood was cancelled n the prime and peak of its brilliance - Ian mCShane as Al Swearengen - was a COLOSSUS - If anyone reading this hasn't seen it or doesn't know of it - Then see it asap... The dialogue is a cross between Shakespeare and utter Filth...

Here is a scene where the the Hard Man "The Captain" of the Evil fucker attempting to buy/steal/murder and take over the town of Deadwood meets with Al Swearengen's (also a well nasty fuckker) tough sidekick "Dan". Bring's a touch of reality to High Noon...

Would've been good with subtitles.
