Gooner Girl at Ashburton

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A good formation suggestion from Chunky The Gooner there. although i would prefer not to see a little and large pairing up front.

Cheers Rob, that's lovely.

For a while there we all thought it was just a silly con.

No? Good!

The contributions have been very funny. Although DB10Gooner's: "Suppose we'll have to sign Morton GAMS Pederson!!!" surely gets the BOOBY prize! Not sure I get it :?
Sorry for any confusion ECD, Gams is a slang word for tits in Ireland. Although I've heard it used in England before as well...

GAMS WE PLAY

DB10GOONER,

Thanks for the clarification on the word GAMS. Forgive me my ignorance but I had never heard of the word before.

Now I can see that your previous contribution was indeed funny  I feel a right lump now (and if I'm lucky, she'll let me feel the other one as well!)

Like our friend DB10 I am also from the Emerald Isle. However, the expression "Gams" is a new one on me. Perhaps it is Dublin slang :?

Bleedin' A-one, bud. Story. Deadly buzz, wha'!

Translation; "It is indeed. You are correct. Very good."

Actually, I think it might originally be a Geordie expression as one of the lads here in work reckons he's seen it used in Viz. So either the fat, deep fried Mars Bar eaters robbed it from us or we robbed it from them...

I'm gonna say they robbed it from us. 8)

A Big D welcome to the Gooneroonie!!

There's a big Gooner following in the city (as there is throughout Ireland). A lot of Dublin Gooners meet up to watch matches in city centre pubs like The Anna Livia or the Baggot Inn. There are a few other pubs that are Gooner friendly too.

But one you have to visit is Gibney's in Malahide (a town about ten miles north of Dublin). The guy that owns it is a mad Gooner and he bought the JumboTrons from Highbury to stick them in his beer garden! 8) 8) 8)

Top job. :D

One of the only bad things about Dublin (apart from the high cost of living) is the millions of w*nker armchair ManUre fans. You'll get used to them though; most of them have never been near old shatford and know fark all about their club.

They are a pox unto my country, I tells ya!!

Full on buddy! I recall on an earlier thread that Gooners were writing about what teams winning what trophies would be acceptable etc. I wrote that for Irish Gooners the chavs and the spurtz are truly hated but the monkey crunts that we have to put up with the most over here is the poxy ManUre gimps.

As far as Taoiseach goes... quite fancy the job actually. Could make being a manUre fan illegal. Punishable by death. Death being getting raped to death by elephants on viagra...
