WHO WAS BEST JAMES BOND?
With the new Bond film "Quantum of Solace" in the headlines, I wondered who you thought was the best Bond.
For me it was Roger Moore.
The raised eyebrow, the look of puzzled astonishment when it invariably went wrong, the slightly amateurish Brit who muddles through in the end...I liked the way he played that.
It might not be exactly what Fleming envisaged, but it worked well.
Liked Connery too, but he was more of an action man. Thought he conveyed well the "cheeky but serious when need to be" attitude fairly common in ex forces people.

I voted for Roger as well. Not only was he the best Bond but he starred in the best films; Moonraker, The Spy Who Loved Me & Live And Let Die.
Moore had the best blend of smooth & tough; to look at him you would not think he could batter everybody in to submission but as a suave English hero abroad, nobody done it better.

Oddly enough I thought Dalton was highly underrated, quality Bond.g88ner wrote:I was a Timothy Dalton man, myself (oh er )
Probably becuase, due to my age, these were the first Bond films I remember... and of course, Living Daylights and Licence to Kill were Bond classics
However its Connery for me!
