CARRY ON LEGEND JACK DOUGLAS DIES AGED 81

Celebrated British comedian and Carry On star Jack Douglas died yesterday.

The 81-year-old performer with an impeccable sense of timing became a household name with a string of appearances in seven of the saucy movies.

But just as well known was his creation Alf Ippititimus, the flailing-armed, flat-capped fool with his catchphrases “Phwaay!â€
