All down hill for Thierry now, according to history

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

All down hill for Thierry now, according to history

Post by Ben-gooner14 »

All gooners are disapointed that Thierry is leaving the club, who wouldn't be the finest player to grace the premiership is departing but look on the bright side. We have got £16 million for a player who has gone past his prime, had an injury hit season last year and who's to say that isn't going to carry on. It happend to Marc Overmars at the age of 27 when he went to Barcelona and also happemed to Manu Petit who couldn't hold down a place at Barcelona and then was struck with injuries when he went to chelsea. Other star names include; Ian Wright, Paul Merson and Patrick Viera all have gone down hill since leaving the club. Mr Wenger seems to know exactlly the right time to tranfer them when he knows thier past thier peaks. The majority of stars he has sold he has got a profit for suggesting that they wern't stars when they joined the club, such as Nicholas anelka who i'll talk about later. Arsene brought him for £500,000 in 1997 he ended up selling him for £23.5 million to Real Madrid
