Eduardo Da Silva about to join Arsenal

Post by All_Arsenal_1886 »

Croatia striker Eduardo da Silva set to join Arsenal.

Arsenal agree terms with Dinamo Zagreb to sign 24-year-old Brazilian-born striker on a four-year contract

Just read the news about Da Silva (24) on arsenal.com (So it must be true  )

So what do you think about this signing ????

Bloody hell we have signed someone!

Have not seen that much of him but I do know he has made a bit of a name for himself over the last couple of seasons!

Does this mean no Marlon Harewood though?

Praise the Lord, we've made a signing! He's meant to be a bit handy. The Guardian wrote an article on him a while back. Let me see if I can dig it out...

Apparently, he was in Arsenal history already, as the man who scored the first competetive goal at the Grove. Nice finish, if i can remember.

He played against us last season and scored

Arsenal 2 D. Zagreb 1

After only 11 minutes, Zagreb grabbed an unlikely goal. Eduardo broke down the left and pushed the ball into the path of Etto just inside the area. He cut it back into the area and when Toure failed to clear the ball effectively it fell nicely for the Brazilian-born Croatian international to strike left-footed into the far corner of the net.

does anybody remember I DO i was there we were reportadly trying to sign him back then

Right from the very start I said we should sign him!

Well its a bit of a wild card as not sure he was on anyones radar! Just rean Tony's Guardian piece and a few other odds and soda and gotta say excited!

71 goals in 100 games! Know its only the Croatian league but you canonly beat whats infront of you!
