These kind of lies don't help anyone achieve peace in the Middle East, and even the most cursory googling proves that such falsehoods shouldn't go unchallenged.

In fact, since September 2000 there have been 1176 people murdered in Palestinian terrorist attacks. I don't think that number includes the Palestinians murdered by Hamas for daring to oppose them.

I think we sometimes forget the individual tragedies behind figures, so just to give one random example:

Mar 9, 2002, Avia Malka, 9 months old was killed when Palestinian terrorists threw a grenade into her baby stroller in Netanya in Israel. She died in hospital from her injuries.

Today marks Holocaust Memorial Day - perhaps a good time to reflect upon all the victims of conflict, terrorism and genocide, irrespective of race, religion, nationality or ethnic origin.

They went in as soon as fighting stopped, and seemed to have a lot of footage during the conflict anyway.

Sometimes it is just too dangerous to allow reporters in, and in Lebanon in 2006 the reporters were giving away too much.

There is footage that was edited out. The Arabic channels showed more of the burn victims than the terrestrial ones.

The Israeli channels have footage of Hamas gunmen running from building to building holding children as human shields, but it was not shown to the public, only to journalists. I do not know why.

The whole thing was grim.

Agreed - although I think some media did have news crews there on the ground. Certainly the BBC has at least one reporter/producer resident in Gaza who was providing regular reports and updates.

Very few of the mainstream media showed the type of footage that Quartz talked about where you can actually see Hamas terrorists grabbing terrified children to use as shields as they fire their guns and bombs. It's easily accessible on the Internet 'though.
