have to admit i support england in the cricket. been to many a test match and even went to 2 world cups, but how could i not want my own country to win that today, brilliant. should have been 2 outa 2, as we messed it up v bangladesh. as for englad, i still want then to win it, but my god they must improve big time, in the bowling, and in the field.

Wonder if I can find some nice odds on the Irish to make it out of the group or something...
I must sadly admit...I went to bed once Niall O'Brian was out for Ireland and the required run rate was over 7. Wish I'd stayed up a few more hours!

Would be good to see cricket develop in Ireland - Unfortunately, it's all likely to be in the one-day short form of the game, in which it is much easier to get people up to speed.

Congrats to the Micks for beating us. I just hope we don't play as poorly for the rest of the group games.
Every now and then a small team beats a big one. I'm sure that's happened elsewhere recently but for some reason I seem to have blocked it out
