Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Fuck this shit, would you buy a season ticket with all this going on?
Trouble is it has been going on for far too long, an owner who is only interested in his long term portfolio, a manager who is getting more senile in his ideas and more and more paranoid about losing control to a Director of Soccer US style!
And an Usbek who reportedly supports the senile old geezer but wants to buy out Kroenke but Kroenke does not even acknowledge his offer...
Arsenal resembles that 1977-81 series....http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075584/med ... f_=tt_ov_i
There is no fucking way a decent player is going to come to this club with all this shit going on, even funnier how it's all going to be finalised after the Cup final....

Usmanov now is the biggest danger
Chris you and me agree on most things at the mo, but I cannot agree with you on this one - for me there is NOTHING or NOBODY that is a bigger danger to our club going forward than wenger himself. The man is a cancer who is dragging this club down despite having a lot of quality players at his disposal, and no owner can deflect that I would go so far as to say that I would rather have usmanov as manager than the French cock
Btw I asked this question last night, but why do people automatically align usmanov with wenger ? Personally I am very doubtful that kroenke would sell up, but even if he did sell, any deal would take almost a year to complete, and by then wenger will either be gone or will have a new deal from kroenke. Tarring usmanov as a wenger supporter is irrelevant when wenger's future will be decided LONG before any potential takeover could happen

I'm not sure about the quote on Russian TV but I don't think anyone can say with confidence that he doesn't care about trophies.xisstential wrote:Really.... From a russian..in RussiaWilson wrote:The idea of a man like Usmanov taking over the club is thrilling, not just for the change in direction, but the idea of Wenger bricking it as he knows he will be held accountable is a wonderful thought.
I bet he sh.. himself when he heard 1b offer had been tabled.
he does NOT give a shit on trophies - only on AW makes profits

If he only cared about profits he would've sold up to Stan a long time ago like the rest of the board. Let's be honest, how many people own 30% shares in a major football club and still hang around for years after being deemed persona non grata? He has no seat on the board, cannot attend matches unless he finds his own seat and has absolute zero say in the direction of the club. His business partner decided he's had enough and jumped ship to Everton yet Usmanov has still stuck around. He knows we have huge potential and all the other major clubs are taken.
I think we should look at the evidence rather than the wild speculations. I would be cautious about Usmanov but if people genuinely believe he wouldn't get rid of Wenger, then surely this is the more reason why we must focus on the French fraud and not get distracted. We won't succeed under any ownership scenario unless we get rid of the cuunt and this latest news just gives him the perfect cloud to manoeuvre himself into a new contract.
I for one have just about had enough of everything. The divide is annoying and demoralising at the same time and this takeover bid is just going to dilute things even further. Watch the Usmanov is evil and has a dodgy past arguments surface again.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
He did act last year - he spent north of 80m on 3 players. When Mourinho came into Chelsea after being slightly off the pace he spent 60m on two players and they won the league at a canter because of that.Wilson wrote:Every year there is this expectation that Wenger will act. But inexcusable transfer windows are common. Selling Cesc and Nasri and literally making no effort to replace them util Man United thrashed us 8-2. The 2013 season, only Sanogo and Flamini in, and we had to wait for the 3-1 home humbling by Villa before rushing to sign Ozil.
So I literally can see Sanchez and Ozil being sold, and F all done to replace them. That gross negligence of non-effort & lack of conviction will not change with Wenger and Kroenke at the club. Of course Kroenk'e non-caring attitude is a problem. But clubs with bad owners have had good managers. The Glaziers are cut form the same cloth as Kroenke, but Ferguson's Man United teams were never so passive, nor did Fergie neglect shaping up his sqaud when need be.
He buys players (and spends money) and will do again this summer. It will just all be misdirected.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Yes I can see the Stability card being drawn after the cup final, and how this will again work in Wengers corner, we have never had it so good, a Director of Soccer who has no actual control is a master stroke, don't worry Arsene, you will still be in charge but we will put this puppet in just to mug off the fans and show that we are actually doing something positive...
What a fucking charade!..
What a fucking charade!..

Interesting article on she wore a yellow ribbon...."Why Does Kronke own Arsenal" https://shewore.com/2017/05/20/why-does ... n-arsenal/Redarmy wrote:Agree that if Usmanov did take over, Arsenal would be quickly established as one of the Worlds leading clubs, Titles and Champions league would be on the horizon for sure, with around £14.5 Billion the second richest man in England wants success.EastupperA wrote:Usmanov will buy Arsenal at some point, as it's the only thing left for him. Abromovich is his mate, they go back years and they are super competitive , just read about the Mega yacht situation which usmanov finally won last year....having bested Roman on that front he NEEDS Arsenal now and when in situ will do whatever it takes to beat Chelsea and make Arsenal a dominant force. It's won't be a business it will be global domination. I genuinely think he'll pay whatever needs to be paid, Kroenke is a business man and there tends to be price for everything particularly as they are driven be different agendas.
Personally don't think Kronke will sell to Usmanov even at £2 Billion, he said not looking to sell wants it as a long term investment, why should he? does not exactly need the cash, no real pressure on him, hardly visits anyway......has said he wants a legacy portfolio for his sons.
Kroenke is a dangerous investor. He is an investor that no one really understands why he owns the teams he owns. It is not love, it is not money, it is not ego.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
So let me get this straight......
Kroenke gets criticised for not "sacking Wenger years ago" (He only took over in 2011 btw and this criticism seems to have changed from "get him out hes milking the club, bleeding us dry" etc, etc bullshit...)
So ok, lets speculate and say Usmanov does take over yea? Hes ok to keep Wenger on as manager and for up to 3-4yrs according to some on here?
Some people havent given this very much thought at all really

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I think the hope is that Usmanov would at least make Wenger more accountable and perhaps there's some romantic notion that the Dein partnership would be renewed and somehow return us to the glory days.......but there are some major "ifs" in there obviously. I would certainly hope that even if Usmanov did extend Wenger's contract it would be with more accountability attached and to be honest if he allowed Shit For Brains to continue with this endless project for years then I'd be after him too. Kroenke has had 6 years to make his mark here and what's happened in that time - at least 2 more Wenger contracts, last 16 defeats every year and no title challenge. In that time organisations like Black Scarf have agitated for some reasonable demands e.g. season ticket payment plans, more flexible membership options etc and they have largely fallen on deaf ears. In the early part of his reign there was a massive underinvestment in the squad which saw us fall down the pecking order in this country to 4th, with the entire focus being property and commercial. Whilst there has been some loosening of the purse strings in the past 2-3 years its still a pittance compared to his wealth and I suppose everyone is now dreaming that Usmanov does a Sheikh Mansoor or Abramovich.armchair wrote:So let me get this straight......

For me Kroenke is neither a "fan" owner - the sort that would refund fans travel after a 5-0 pasting, or make some concessions on ticket prices etc and nor is the type that Chelsea / Man City have which is building a legacy. I think fans would accept the £62 ticket prices if we saw the types of investment those 2 clubs have had......and if Wenger took his socialist stance of "I would give it back to him" (if offered £100m for a player) then that would be exposed.
I can understand why Kroenke holds the investment in the club - its business after all......but its not really the stuff of dreams is it?

Wenger would be gone within the year
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
To a certain extent Usmanov has to say this about continuity and some praise for Wenger, when they start loosing 10-2 in CL he will be gone...SteveO 35 wrote:I think the hope is that Usmanov would at least make Wenger more accountable and perhaps there's some romantic notion that the Dein partnership would be renewed and somehow return us to the glory days.......but there are some major "ifs" in there obviously. Don't get me wrong not saying its all going to be great if Usmanov takes over, but i just want to see Arsenal win the title and that fucking Champions League, before i die.
Sick of getting thrashed at Chavs and now the scum, just want success back, can't stand those lot mugging us off.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
So Usmanov gets criticised because he might keep Wenger on until he gets tired of him (probably 1 season at most) but Kroenke has been fine to keep Wenger on 3-4 years too long already?, but that is all Wenger's fault, nothing to do with Stan?.
I really hope it is only a minority of gooners who think like this otherwise we are screwed, seriously if Kroenke does refuse to sell I hope you are all happy when he turns us to a midtable club like all his other s**t teams and who will you blame then when Wenger has finally buggered off?.
The best thing Usmanov can do now, assuming Kroenke wont sell, is get former player(s) involved with R&W, Ian Wright has come out in support of him so why not get him on board?, start to turn the screw against Stan and drive a wedge between him and the fans, get some really bad PR for him, this is just the start of the war I think, sadly it's probably going to get messy but rather that than a future which looks decidedly bleak under the American profiteer we've been lumbered with.

Absolutely done
I am absolutely done with this 'club' for the next two years if he signs. I know everyone throws that line around, but I am genuinely done if he signs again.
I've had enough. I have had an absolute gut-full of him and that board.
Sad times, but I can't listen or look at that old bastard anymore.
