New captain? Vermaelen to leave?

Please vote on who you want as new Arsenal captain?

Also if you are posting would like to know who you think will get the armband.

I want Vermaelen because he has that tough fighting spirit, and I prefer Wilshere to concentrate on his temperament.

Would not have a problem with Koscielny, Sagna or Arteta getting the armband.

Think one of Vermaelen, Koscielny, Sagna or Arteta will get it, probably Vermaelen.

Not impossible Wenger could give it to Song.

TV5. Not much thought needs to go into that, I was thinking rosicky but as soon as I remembered we still have TV then it was crystal fucking clear.

Does it really matter who's captain these days, Wenger has devalued this role totally over the past 7 seasons, at the moment, I don't really give a flying fuck, but if the trend continues on a new captain going the season after being made one, then I vote for Diaby (or maybe Walcott, or Song even)

Rosicky. I nearly laughed out loud at that. As has been said, the captaincy means nothing at Arsenal anymore. It is simply used to buy off a player who may be thinking of leaving in the near future.

I would take him over TV as I think he is a cooler customer and would lead in a better way than TV would.

In saying that one of the things we have missed in the last 6/7 years is genuine leaders with character. When you look at all the title winning sides back to '89 there were genuine leaders throughout the team. I think Wenger needs to review his psychological assessment of his graduates as it doesn't seem to take into consideration a player with an attitude that when the chips are down, ''I'm going to drag this game by the scruff of the neck'' type player.
