Southampton match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I reckon 6-6 with our defence. Theo to score another hattrick to boost his value further ahead of his impending January departure.

Southampton will create chances, they've scored more than about half the teams in the league. They're on a half-decent run and if we let them their fans will probably be up for it.

But they will fucking leak goals too. That display at the Emirates this season was several degrees worse than the shower of shite our defence normally puts in there, and every time I watch them it's scary how bad they are at the back.

Think it'll be another Reading-type outing.

With the same team ? 6-2 easy.

But I can't help thinking AW is itching to change this line up to drop Ramsay or gervinho in before the ANC - when he should be bollicking and coaching the back four and Jack how to defend set pieces...

If he makes changes, then 2-2 for me too.

Not even with the welsh denilson on tbe wing and gervinho up front ?

Saints put three past stoke up there and with our ' free expression ' back four sadly I wouldn't count it out Aug.

I hope its 6-2 obviously...

3-1 to The Arsenal if we keep the same team.

No doubt we will leak a goal but I can also see us scoring more than we concede. He CANT make changes, we actually look threatening in attack with this team rather than having Ramsey slow the game whilst trying to show off.

Podolski is showing great form and I would love to see him have a more central role. He's dangerous everytime he is shown on to he's left and we need to make more use off that.

I am making the trip down for this tomorrow for what should be a merry coulple off days! Can anyone recommend any decent away pubs in the area or where fellow gooners may be drinking before the game? Never been Southampton before.
