Good evening.

I haven't used the forum for a little while but used to be a regular user.

I wonder if anyone can help please? I'm going to Munich on my own as I can only manage to get one ticket and I'm wondering where the Arsenal "meeting place" is and where will everyone be drinking if such info is available yet?

Any advice on hotels would also be helpful?

Many thanks, Rik

Might be worth having look through last years Bayern Travel thread as this years one hasn't really got going yet!

A good bet is to stay near the central station (Hauptbahnhof) for good access to/from the Airport & the Allianz.

Most will head for the Marienplatz but we spent the whole day in the Augustiner Keller with loads of other Gooners & it was buzzing http://www.augustinerkeller.de/en.htm ... it's only a five minute walk from the HBF too :barscarf: :barscarf:

Thanks Henry and Russ that's very helpful indeed!

I'm going to look at the Westin Grand hotel now as I'm struggling to find one in the centre. Not keen on a hostel as I'm by myself.

I bet it was amazing last season wasn't it? Let's hope for another occasion like that! You can't beat having a few beers in the square with fellow gooners before the big match, buzzing now just talking about it!

Thanks for your help and hopefully see a few of you out there.

If you haven't been to it before then the hofbrauhaus is a great craic. Good mix of gooners & bayern last year and really friendly singalong. Serving wenches & an oompah band...What's not to like! And the beer is to die for!!!!

And before anyone starts, not a plastic nor a tourist (well, yeah technically I'm a tourist, but you know what I mean) 8)
Sorted now. Thanks.
