I remember taking this up with a mate during the height of ndhype about him. Think he had one superb game in Marseille but other than that was just a decent young player in a very confident and successful team with little pressure on defenders.

Phil Jones is a fucking calamity too. Nowhere near good enough to make it at CM and would never have been signed as an out-and-out midfielder but Ferguson spotted after about three games there that he a disaster waiting to happen at CB.
