Newcastle away travel

Has anyone booked trains yet? If so, with which company?

Cheapest I am finding on same day return with selected trains is £198 east coast trains....

Its with East Coast trains. Quite early leaving though, 7.30 and leaving Newcastle 7.05pm

Or 89.50 if you want to leave London on some of the later departures

For a return flight? I priced it up last night and it worked out £125 taking the decent time flights

Think it's Thursday at 5ish coming back Monday 3ish, hence extended weekend.

Bristol airport is great to get to on public transport from cardiff too

Yeah but trains to temple meads are regular and then the airport bus goes from there every few minutes. By contrast you try getting to cardiff airport by public transport....

Yeah but trains to temple meads are regular and then the airport bus goes from there every few minutes. By contrast you try getting to cardiff airport by public transport....
I used to work for a certain Japanese company that had factories in Bridgend and Pencoed. The first time I got a taxi to Cardiff airport I thought the driver was taking me down a muddy lane to feed me to the sheep. :lol: :lol:

Ha I know exactly what you mean. When they commissioned a report into the running of the airport last year they figured out that in all the years that it had been running the airport bus averaged 3 passenger per journey :lol:

Haha the bus i had to get from Rhoose to Cardiff airport did have 3-4 people on it maximum
