The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender, 26, is on the shortlist of players Arsenal want to sign in January. (Evening Standard)

Jesus....he's becoming the new Remy based on the number of times we're linked with him. Not a fucking cat in hell's chance

Somewhere in the world right now, sleeping peacefully in his bed, lies some cheap, injury prone, French/African dud who is completely oblivious to the fact that Le Bell End is about to make him a multi millionaire.

Happy fucking days :barscarf:

"I'm not accountable to anyone"
"I will decide who comes to this club"
"How many matches have you played for professional football clubs?"
"Why should I tell you anything?"
"There is no need for anyone to come in. We have only world class players here right now."
"I can sign anyone in the world apart from perhaps two or three players but I choose to trust this squad."
"You think this job is easy but you can't do it".
"You tell me where this club was before I came here?"
"It's not fair that other clubs can spend more money. How can I compete?"
"Everyone is on drugs."
"I built this stadium and worked 25 hours a day, eight days a week to do it."
"We are very close to Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona. Perhaps just one or two more years and we will be the same as them."
"Does anyone want to buy Sanchez and sell me Diaby in exchange?"
"I am a massive hypocritical bastard who has single-handedley managed to fuck up every season for the last decade."

He's 29 and a half a season wonder and I can't believe we've any interest in him at all.
