Arsenal - thanks for the memories.....

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I had the dubious honour of being in the upper East stand that day, with the cigar smokers.
It went he'll bent after that goal. One of my favourite memories of Henry.

Another was DB10's relief after his first goal for us.
Anyone got a video of that?

I could listen to MR Arsenal talk about the good days all day long....When he says he hardly broke into a sweat because he had Petit & Vieira in front of him, I wonder what he thinks of our current mid-field and back 4 !?

Hopefully an image of my first footballing hero has appeared (many thanks to Officepest for his advice).

621 appearances. Two-footed, could cross the ball and even take corners (skills which appear to have been lost to the current squad) and he ran himself into the ground every match. Brave, loyal and unassuming. A true professional and without doubt an Arsenal legend, though rarely mentioned these days.

Unfortunately Alf Ramsey didn't go much on wingers (even though Geordie was a very modern version) so he was never capped at senior level.

If the image hasn't appeared, imagine short, squat, long hair and sideburns (and Officepest is crap!).

Officepest is clearly too old. Would one of you young chaps post an image of George 'Geordie' Armstrong?

Thanks in advance.

If you post an image of George Armstrong Custer, I will hunt you down and destroy you.

Hijo de Puta...

Perhaps I should have clarified: once you've found your image, right-click on it and select 'copy image location', then paste it like so:

Now now; a Stone-Age man has more technical expertise than I so you must be doing something wrong.

Sorry, mate

I'm enjoying this thread so much because it reminds us all of the time when we were a football club and not a bank :(

This thread should be a sticky. UTA :barscarf:

Mine too. The celebration was as good as the goal. :barscarf:
