Good player, Xhaka + Elneny is a more than decent upgrade on Arteta/Flamini/Rosicky as well as bringing the average age way down.

I'm interested in what this means for Ramsey/Wilshere, and surely at least one of Oxlade/Walcott is out the door. Really both could be moved on.

Cazorla will become more of an "older" squad player taking up the role vacated by Arteta/Flamini/Rosicky, despite having more ability on the ball than the rest of our BritishCore world beaters put together.

Jack is injured most of the season and Lord Ramsey playes another midfield role or on right wing.

can't argue with this signing.
very good.

lets just hope that is not it until deadline day - the priorities are STILL a top level striker and defender.

Would like to see Elneny/Coquelin paired with Xhaka as the base of midfield. Wenger has always got it horribly wrong playing a player maker or attacking player next to a holding player at the base of midfield, as with Ozil in the hole, it created unbalance, as we had four attack minded midfielders and one defensive minded player.

The invincibles were Vieira-Gilberto and neither of them was a finesse or attacking player.

A strong midfield with two (positionaly) disciplined, hard working players who can tackle, can make such a difference.

The fact Wenger has added another traditional defensive minded midfielder to go with Coquelin and Elneny, as well as paying 30m for him, might indicate a change in his mindset. However, im going to have to see it to believe it.

Waiting for the interview where he says Wenger was the reason he signed.

Yes, this statement comes out from every new signing. This is probably one of the most important term in their contracts.

He only cost £1. The other £22,999,000 was for that statement on how much he rates wenger and can't wait to play under his expert guidance.

Looking forward to seeing him play - Appranetly he takes no prisoners :box: :barscarf:

He's 6 ft 3.5, did Arsene misread the report from scout?
