The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
Always thought Luiz would suit our style of play as a defensive midfielder, not a CB.
Nzonzi would be a good signing, a clear upgrade on any current DM at the club.
It appears we are looking at firming up our defence. Van Dyke for £50m should be top of our list.

Last thing we need is another "footballing" centre half who views himself as a playmaker

Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
He would have been a good purchase three years ago and might have added something a bit more imaginative to the team. That would have shown some sort of ambition though and why bother doing that when you can have shit like Walcott for years?Midz wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2017 10:15 amYeah and he's he's never even heard of us.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2017 9:19 amThe sun linking us with Draxler again, how many times have we now been linked with him.

Doesn’t really matter who we sign, they will end up being played out of position and will slowly get worse until they become another average uninterested player.

They've got Van Dijk
Virgil Van Dijk
I don't think Wenger understands
The state of our defence
It makes no bloody sense
He didn't bid for Van Dijk

For instance look at Monreal, he was bought as left flank mid-fielder and has had to endure NEVER EVER being played there, he comes in for a lot of stick as a back-line defender, but that is not his position...Put him in the mid-field on the left flank with a decent LB behind him and he would play a 1,000 times better..
It's wenger's fault. FACT

Maybe Sol Bamba from Cardiff is more like the defender you think we need.augie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2017 11:31 amNos89 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2017 12:23 amAlways thought Luiz would suit our style of play as a defensive midfielder, not a CB.

I think either nobody or a crock of shit is coming
Re: The Fake News Summer Transfer Thread
absolute gem on the BBC courtesy of the Daily Star:
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is lining up a move for Crystal Palace's Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha, 25, to replace Chile forward Alexis Sanchez, 29.
I know it is only paper talk, but it really wouldn't surprise if Wenger thinks that Zaha is a suitable replacement for Sanchez.
On the plus side, BBC are also reporting that Southampton are interested in taking Theo back.
