Failure for me - he’s not won a game yet.

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?
I'm surprised this thread isn't called Arteta Out.
Always thought he was a decent player for us and should be appreciated for lifting two FA Cups as captain and ending our nine year trophy drought in the process but he'll go down as a proper Arsenal for the feats he'll accomplish as our manager.

C'mon Sid where's the middle of the road on the fence option
Went for option 3 because i dont think there will be much more than that he can do unless he's here for a long time.

Now confirmed, he takes over officially Sunday

Option 3 is the middle of the road option how many fucking options do you needGoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 2:07 pmC'mon Sid where's the middle of the road on the fence option

Probably awful, maybe not lasting till the end of the season BUT if the comments floating around on here are true about his ruthlessness and guile he might have tiny chance of turning it around.
Would love to eat my words but think this could be a very messy year. This is the worst Arsenal have been in my lifetime after getting into them in 1993.

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?
Really depends if he does any work on defending. If he is just going to work on "fast flowing attacking football" then it is going to be a disaster.
Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?
Pep says he is going home
It is a great move for him and his family they were looking forward to coming back to London before Emery got his dossier out on Arsenal players
Fingers crossed that he takes the step up and is a great success

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?
In fairness the first two options imo are both highly unlikely.
If he achieves option 3 then he will carry on in the job as wiggy has no ambition.
I read somewhere that he is unlikely to have funds in January but will be backed in the summer. This will be the deciding issue as to whether he ends up as option three or four.

There's only 4 options therefore No3 cant be the middle....goonersid wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 2:13 pmOption 3 is the middle of the road option how many fucking options do you needGoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 2:07 pmC'mon Sid where's the middle of the road on the fence option

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?
Reports that Ozil will be loaned out in january are encouraging!
I would like to see Arteta challenge the remaining senior players who want to remain at the club to prove their committment over the next 4 or 5 games, any who don’t or don’t want to, should be told they won’t play for the first team again! that they will be made available for January transfers and will in the meantime train with the reserves!
That would remove any poison from the squad!
If Arteta did this and playing the youngsters we only managed to avoid relegation by a single point, then I would have huge respect for him and would look forward to see what he can do next season!
The squad seems rotten to the core with c u n t s that have no love for either the club or it’s supporters!
Exposing and removing these c u n t s has to be his priority and we have to trust hom should he adopt this strategy!

Re: Mikel Arteta, success or failure?
Well, fingers crossed he can do something with the defence! We’re not gonna be able to have a complete clear out so he has to somehow turn a load of pub defenders into a tight unit. Good luck with that! And if Xhaka is a regular, then god help us!

Option 1 is a joke option that leaves 3 options, you chose the middle of those 3GoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 2:27 pmThere's only 4 options therefore No3 cant be the middle....goonersid wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 2:13 pmOption 3 is the middle of the road option how many fucking options do you needGoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 2:07 pmC'mon Sid where's the middle of the road on the fence option
